themeparkmad Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Slammer had a full queue today with a bit extra coming out towards canada creek. How long was that then in time? 60 mins? Quote
Ryan Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 How long was that then in time? 60 mins?I didn't que up for it nor did I look at the board but I would say yes atleast 1 hour. Quote
StevenVig Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Its been on two swings ALL year, with no major issues!Sorry but Rush was on one swing the other day while I was working. This was because of a reliability issue. Quote
Todge Posted May 28, 2009 Report Posted May 28, 2009 Sorry but Rush was on one swing the other day while I was working. This was because of a reliability issue. I thought you worked in the megastore? I'm so confused Quote
TraX Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 ...and also has to walk to and from the Mega Store! S&S make it difficult not to see or hear their rides. Quote
rossafc Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 Who said about Rush nearly always having one swing open?I believe thats the worst statement of the year! its been on two swings ALL year, with no major issues!I was also there earlier this year and one swing was working. Quote
Paul Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 I was also there earlier this year and one swing was working. The only reasons they run Rush on one swing, is if there actually is a technical fault, or if the park is having an off-peak day. Rush's reliability seems to have improved drastically this year, so I would presume that Rush has been running on one swing occasionally because of low gate figures. Quote
EdH Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 This is the killer questionWhich queue line is faster for Slammer:Left or Right?I always go in the left hand one for some reason. I've never been in the right. Quote

EdH Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 But they are different lengths so it is hard to tell Quote
Paul Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 But they are different lengths so it is hard to tell Well, on very busy days, sometimes you will find a ride host standing at the divide telling you which way to go. Quote
TraX Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 If batching hasn't begun on either side, then I'd go for the MOC side. Sadly, the ride experience isn't as good this side due to view and slamming forwards first during her firsts few rotations. It's hit or miss and to be fair if you're in a group of two, the chances of you people called forward is fairly high, as the ride needs a two person difference. This can be annoying when groups won't seperate to either end of the ride boom when asked. Quote
TimR Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 which ever one has least people in it Spot on . Quote
Phyciodes Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 Always go for right- Prefer the going backwards first, save the best till last Quote
Paul Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 Always go for right- Prefer the going backwards first, save the best till last Same, and I think you get a better view going forwards on the right side. Quote
Elliot Posted May 29, 2009 Report Posted May 29, 2009 Same, and I think you get a better view going forwards on the right side. It's nicer looking down but on the other side, looking across at stealth and nemesis looks brilliant. Quote
furiouspanda Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 So I don't have to trawl through pages of threads, does anybody have the current Slammer queueling audio? The one with the ratchet noise in the background. Many thanks. Also, on the topic of restraints - it's ALWAYS fun to pull a friends shoulder bars down. They really put the handles in the right place for doing that Quote
EdH Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 Its awful if you pull it down too tight when they lock it because you are just crushed.I always put my feet up on the bar if I'm in the front row Quote
