Benin
Roland's been at the sauce again during board meetings: https://www.handelsblatt.com/unternehmen/mittelstand/familienunternehmer/roland-und-michael-mack-europapark-besitzer-wollen-seilbahn-nach-frankreich-bauen/23585840.html?nlayer=Newsticker_1985586&ticket=ST-351031-XUAdi4MuIWBfZbETCnrd-ap2 Basically in a team up with France's government, plans to build a chairlift to the park from a small village exist to improve infrastructure... JoshC.
As a project, this must be costing MILLIONS - this won't be cheap. Crazy really that they're considering this, just to potentially help ease of traffic congestion. I question how much it'll improve people's travel to the park, and how much of Europa's thinking is just 'this draws even more attention to us and creates something unique'. But it's still a quirky thing to see, and I'm sure people will love it, so I've got nothing against it.

Benin
Which airport though? I dread to think how much work would be required to get this to Basel or any of the other 'major' German airports... Wish they'd get some form of direct train service tbh from the likes of Stuttgart...

Benin
Roughly about a year since the fire and the Scandi Alley will be re-opening... Great work from Europa there given the circumstances whilst incorporating improvements (both detailed and legislative) and a mystery basement surprise (Roland's Dungeon?!) JoshuaA
So Fjord is getting some TLC after the fire, looks fab. Fjord was brilliant in itself, they could of just rebuilt the damage and it would of been great, but somehow they managed to make it look even better. *Found this on our enthusiast god TPW's FB*

Matt 236
Bumper Update on the Europa front. The reimagined Scandinavia area is expected to reopen on the 24th May. However, one of surprises of this area is not only will it House a new attraction but a new dark ride. The new attraction will be called Snorri Touren and will be located in the basement of the Scandinavian street. It is currently unknown what kind of vehicles the ride will use yet. It is expected to open around Autumn. Speaking on dark rides, the park have designated part of Deutsche Alley to showcase some previews of Pirates In Batavia 2.0. This preview showcases depicts models, concept art and even a model/animatronic that will feature inside the reworked attraction. The attraction is expected to open in 2020 (likely Autumn onwards). Spectacular stuff from Europa, who are proving to be a world class attraction that continues to improve their product offering and never stand still. Benin
New Pirate animatronic is lush ❤️ Nice to see them continuing the trend of fitting random dark rides wherever they can too...
JoshuaA
I'm Visting like a day after opening (pretty lucky) so looking forward to seeing the new area. I think its cool that we're getting a new dark ride later this year as the Scandanavia area always felt a little bare when it comes to rides.. I like how its a dark ride too, Europa must have like a record now or something? I have to say that Pirates in Batvia V2 looks sexy as hell, god-damn.. JoshuaA
Got to love how much Europa do during the offseason and how much they do in general to improve and upkeep the park. Look at Columbus or Whale Tours.. God, who would of known a generic flat ride would receive a bunch of special effects and theming, fu**ing amazing.
