Ricky
In that case, why are sections of the volcano green? That's what we call a variety of algae, moss & other vegetative states. True story! The above vegetation love damp porous materials. Hence why the volcano is green. And every normal active volcano is green. paige, pluk and InfernoMartin
JamminGamer
Get ready for the awesome Nemesis Inferno- Subterranean Experience! Explore the inside of the volcano! See the crisp packets floating around from years gone by and discover where all the ride theming of old is truly hidden! In all seriousness I don't really see them putting in a Sub-Terra style attraction especially after the failure to maintain Saw Alive. Still, new rides are new rides I suppose On another note I've yet to see those crocodile figures in the river I never seem to choose the right direction to look for them
Olistjj
They were really visible at the beginning of the year when the pond had just been cleaned but its difficult to see them now as the pond flora has started to grow a wee bit large again JamminGamer

Altitude
Thanks for posting Where on the ride is that? After the turnaround?
Kerfuffle
It's on the straight after the final corkscrew (where the onride photo is taken). Sorry the picture is bad quality, but as it turns out, that was also the quality of the video!
JamminGamer
I'll have to look for them next time I'm up there then! Thanks!
Kerfuffle
The crocodiles have always come with the ride tbh. I remember there being one just at the bottom of that drop before the helix into the final brake run
GladiatorFanKyle
Do the crocs have any thing to do with the theme of the actual ride? cause they shouldnt be at the bottom of a volcano otherwise the lava will kill em
Kerfuffle
That's not the point. Nemesis Inferno has the theme of a volcano amongst a lush, tropical jungle. The crocodiles do an excellent job of simulating life around the jungle rivers, while also making that particular section of the ride pretty intimidating (Who would want their legs sabotaged by an alligator? ). c1hrisin
They also do a good job of hiding the dirty pumps, Colossus should get some crocodiles Kerfuffle
Fred
True story! The above vegetation love damp porous materials. Hence why the volcano is green. And every normal active volcano is green. I enjoy this. This is like the "it's meant to look run down" answer. It's meant to look like it was built to look like, not what nature has made it become due to a lack of TLC Coaster
Ricky
I think it makes it look authentic Although when it rains it does look disgusting
Kerfuffle
Could there be a better way of simulating lava, cos the painted wood chips obviously didnt work out!
Ricky
Remember, this was 2003, FX weren't as advanced as they are nowadays. I'm sure they could probably do some kind of fibre optics illusions to simulate lava, similar to a christmas tree.
Coaster
Could there be a better way of simulating lava, cos the painted wood chips obviously didnt work out! Well they were better than what there is now... (Nothing ) Kerfuffle and Cal
pluk
The wood chips looked pretty good for a simple little bit of theming for a couple of years, but faded away as they obviously would. Why thay haven't bought a few sacks of each colour to top it up every couple of years I don't know. What would it cost? Couple of hundred quid tops. TraX
They did buy new and replace all of it only a few years back. It just won't last obviously. What they should have done whilst jumping on the Nemesis 'brand', is simply add some orange dye to the bubbling river.
Project LC
Good amount of mist today, it also surprisingly started on 2 trains. The fastrack queue was only filling the back 2 rows, if there were enough people to fill 2 rows. There was hardly any fastrack people today, only the odd people who had wasted their money on a platinum pass. Nemesis inferno was actually pretty quite all day. Only mishap was a lengthy closure and the large ish queue upon its reopening.

Pickles
Inferno in the rain right. You would think it would be painful but the worst part is the water run off as you go up the lift hill from the row in front. Kerfuffle
