March 18, 201411 yr comment_178698 Well currently with the free tickets for Alton Towers, here's what else to expect from The Sun this year... 'WE'VE teamed up with Merlin Entertainments to bring you The Sun’s Superdays — great ways to entertain your family for FREE this year. Superdays coming soon include LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, THORPE PARK Resort, Chessington and Warwick Castle.' Edited March 18, 201411 yr by DeanGaryCox Merged with coupons topic
March 22, 201411 yr comment_179003 I know the season has barely started but has anyone seen any 2for1 vouchers floating around?
March 22, 201411 yr comment_179006 Yes! Kellogg's are currently doing a 2 for 1 merlin offer on selected boxes.
March 31, 201411 yr comment_179754 Thorpe have now got a new ticketing system on their website - much nicer and easier to use than the old one The FAQ's suggest it supports tickets to mobile phones too which will be nice and could save a lot of time from people collecting tickets if people take advantage.
March 31, 201411 yr comment_179757 Thorpe have now got a new ticketing system on their website - much nicer and easier to use than the old one The FAQ's suggest it supports tickets to mobile phones too which will be nice and could save a lot of time from people collecting tickets if people take advantage. Had a look and the system seems much more compact and easier to use although I did notice that there was no Annual Pass holder ticket option for Summer Nights even though there is one for Fright Nights so I'm hoping that they just forgot to add that in especially since it's still advertised as a £5 entry on the Summer Nights page
March 31, 201411 yr comment_179759 unless it's free now? That would be great but I doubt it They probably just forgot to add the option.
March 31, 201411 yr comment_179779 The new ticket system online is alot better. I think it's easier to navigate your way around it, and I like the way it looks. I hope they do make it so you can just simply scan the barcode on your phone rather than having to que and get it printed.
March 31, 201411 yr comment_179826 As Fred has already highlighted, it seems the system is in conjunction with the Lo-Q system; with almost guarantee that Lo-Q is coming to Thorpe based on the weblink he posted in another topic. What's interesting though is that the two can be used in perfect harmony on a smartphone, and also has the opportunity (by the looks of it) for one shots, package fastracks, even meal deals and such like - so hopefully the park will use this new system to their advantage.
April 1, 201411 yr comment_179868 Sounds like this is the new ticketing system that was mentioned in Merlin's financial report presentation. It does look very good, much slicker than the old system and Alton Towers booking pages, although Chessington's new system of showing what price it will be on days is almost as good as Thorpe's.
April 1, 201411 yr comment_179922 I just booked two two-day tickets on the new ticket system... I just got an email saying I bought 4 and it has charged me £124! I don't think there's a way to get a refund and I don't know what to do
April 1, 201411 yr comment_179924 They should fix that for you, call guest services first thing on 0871 663 1673
April 1, 201411 yr comment_179926 They should fix that for you, call guest services first thing on 0871 663 1673 OK thanks, I will do it tomorrow as they are closed.
April 1, 201411 yr comment_179931 The parks official Twitter may be able to look into this for you to @thorpepark Hopefully they will be able to sort it out for you
April 2, 201411 yr comment_179984 I called them and they apologised and refunded the extra tickets, thanks for helping me!
August 16, 201411 yr comment_188867 I think all tickets are non refundable but I think you can change the dates on them for a 5pound fee
August 17, 201411 yr comment_188885 For anyone interested in such things Walkers grab bags are currently carrying half price vouchers, which are much better than the bogofs that are everywhere in case you end up with an odd number.
August 17, 201411 yr comment_188888 Went to the park the other week, the guy selling tickets (friends had 2for1) said you would be suprised by the amount of people who actually buy normal tickets on the day! When they can pay 3 pound extra for a season ticket!
August 17, 201411 yr comment_188940 In the words of merlin themselves anyone who buys on the gate without any sort of discount is an idiot.

Walkers are doing this because thier Pulled Pork crisps advert was filmed at Thorpe.
August 18, 201411 yr comment_188991 Remember between 2003-2005 they had vouchers for other parks on the backs of the maps? (For instance a Thorpe map would have Chessie and Alton and Chessie would have Alton and Thorpe and so on...) That was just damm-right useful!
February 28, 201510 yr comment_203792 This is interesting. Thorpe Park are going for an off peak and peak pricing strategy this year. The gate price is extortianate! Technically a £10 increase on last year if you visit holidays or weekends!!!! Off Peak: £49.99 Peak £59.99 https://www.thorpepark.com/tickets-passes/ticket-information/tickets/
