May 5, 201312 yr comment_158403 Quick question about the shot gun noise, where the hell does it 'come' from? The shotguns are above your head at one point, hanging from the celing of the indoor queueline. Back in the days when you used to queue under it you would feel a blast of air if you were in the right place at the right time.
May 9, 201312 yr comment_158750 it seems that even the ride can get tetchy - due to the wind being gusty this morning the fifth car on the morning test was stopped "on it's tracks" and engineers had to go up to free it from the track to force it into completing the run; and I thought it was meant to put the wind up the riders.
May 10, 201312 yr comment_158772 Don't think it's as funny as the first time though, when it was in a more impossible looking position!
May 10, 201312 yr comment_158774 It's funny because they let it go and it stalled again before the mcbr
May 10, 201312 yr comment_158777 Was the train being lifted up by a crane in that photo? (Surely it can't actually stop there?)
May 10, 201312 yr comment_158782 Yeah Saw, nice try in upstaging the Smiler. well I think the only coaster that might upstage The Smiler is the mighty Nemesis. Saw doesn't have a hope in hell!
May 10, 201312 yr comment_158793 Hope it's open when I visit this weekend. Don't wanna be turning up with all the rides closed!
May 10, 201312 yr comment_158801 Was the train being lifted up by a crane in that photo? (Surely it can't actually stop there?) The engineers used a cherry-picker to reach it in the position you see in that shot; at one stage the wind caused the platform to sway severely and one of the engineers grabbed the track structure until the wind had eased.
May 11, 201312 yr comment_158823 Wow when did this happen? I dont even see how it got stuck there? Hope its open tomorrow.
May 11, 201312 yr comment_158827 Wow when did this happen? I dont even see how it got stuck there? Hope its open tomorrow. Happened Thursday morning when we had high winds with higher gusts. Apparently it caught the train as in a sail and stopped it dead - wish I had a bet on that, the odds must be really high.
May 13, 201312 yr comment_158928 I still don't understand this, how and where exactly does the train stall? It usually makes it over that overbanked curve with quite a speed. (Where does it actually come to a stop? Is it the curved section of track between the immelman and the overbank?)
May 13, 201312 yr comment_158934 Seems to only stall when the cars are empty? Maybe it's just because, like all coasters, it's designed with the weight of people in my mind to make it round the circuit, and sometimes, without that weight, it just can't make it round due to other reasons?
May 13, 201312 yr comment_158935 It has just this minute been released and is now resting before the MCBR
May 13, 201312 yr comment_158940 So it appears Saw has stalled the 2nd time in a week. I wonder whats causing this to happen, I wonder if the jolt has anything to do with it. Surely if this continues more often, the park may have to use some money to retrack/design that part of the ride.
May 13, 201312 yr comment_158945 Saw does run veryyy slowly on cooler days when the cars are empty, the speed of which they come off the MCBR is quite disappointing and slow with no riders. It's been quite windy today so I guess that's one of the potential causes!
May 13, 201312 yr comment_158947 I rode this yesterday, lucky it didn't do it yesterday. Guessing there wasn't anyone on today?
May 13, 201312 yr comment_158949 Its no massive deal really, Saws done this since 2009, its just happened a couple of times when the parks open now so everyone can see!
