mah boi
I feel that this coaster is going to be a potential coaster that could be one the best coasters in the world list. Maybe a worthy competitor to Nemesis. With those near misses at great speed, and the possible rumoured underground section with a world's first add up, for me, to become a great coaster. Valentez
Wasnt sure where to post this, but I dont know how many have seen this video. Looks pretty good and is gonna influence The Sanctury and SW7. "Alton Towers Resort tests the minds and bodies of the nation" Ah so I take it they'll be visiting Wolverhampton, Ashby, Todmorden, Chester and Milton Keynes then? mah boi
Watching that video, I searched up the word threshold. On wikipedia it says that the scientific meaning to it, is related to the senses and perception. Could that be the possible name to the ride? Threshold
AstroDan
The Sanctuary is going to be a fantastic 'prequel' to SW7! Really looking forward! Liam T

AstroDan
From what I know, it is going to be a very long, scripted, interactive maze which has taken the vast bulk of the 2012 SF budget.
Sidders
Watching that video, I searched up the word threshold. On wikipedia it says that the scientific meaning to it, is related to the senses and perception. Could that be the possible name to the ride? Threshold The word "Threshold" to the lay person though doesn't appear to make this cognitive connection, and would therefore be interpreted as "doorway" or "entrance", which doesn't strike fear as much as SW7 intends to. mah boi
A picture of the site from yesterday. If you zoom into the station area, you can see that rebar is being placed for the station walls. Mad Coaster Man
This whole storyline and ride reminds me of "Operation Mindcrime" by "Queensryche" Give it a listen:
mah boi
Great pictures stretchy. Thanks for them. Well, as it appears there may indeed be a underground section to this coaster. Should be very interesting to see, if there is, what will be in it.
stretchy
Re Queensryche: operation mind crime. .. Scarily I was listening to both that album and empires whilst walking through towers this morning, did a tidy out and found the CDs last night. Coaster
Thank you for the updates When is the construction of the track supposed to begin?
AstroDan
The original date for track arrival was *rumoured* to be October 1st. I say rumoured, because this date hasn't obviously been put out by Alton Towers, however a lot of staff have given this date. Obviously, this was last week. Concrete will be arriving on site this week and, after that, trackwork can begin. However, I checked in Car Park J today, and scanned minibus and other car parks, for signs of track, but there appears to be none on site yet - unless it's being hidden somewhere. That's unlikely, though - the Th13teen track was held on Car Park J prior to construction.
stretchy
Rumours have it that some supports we're delivered on Friday but I've also looked everywhere I can think of and haven't seen any sign. Unless they are hidden in plain sight and don't look like what we think supports are supposed to look like.

mah boi
Iv'e been wondering how do these fit in with the sanctuary? That is one thing we enthusiasts will have to speculate. At least the whole story isn't leaked. But one thing I can say for certain, is that the mesh canopies are to protect the people from flying objects from a person on the ride. MarkC
Is possible for them to change their theming plans and if so do they need to re submit the plans?
Fred
They could do, but will be too late to do that now in the process. They don't need to resubmit any plans, as long as anything they build isn't gonna encroach treeline.
Stokesyboy
A crane has now arrived on site! If someone could pull up the picture it's on Towers Nerds facebook page! (PC is doing a backup and it's incredibly slow!)
