March 29, 201312 yr comment_154815 That needle looks quite comical doesn't it? I guess that's the point though in a way? Maybe it's just me, or the fact I haven't seen it in person / complete, but not sold on how those legs have turned out. I think that had the legs looked like a 'solid mass' as opposed to the 'criss cross / beam' design they would've looked even more imposing. But the way it looks in those pictures, it just doesn't feel right to me; can't really explain why. Not disregarding it or anything (I almost feel bad for having any form of criticism about it), and I have no doubts that once it's finished it will look amazing, but I'm just not entirely sure on the design at the moment.

I wonder actually if this is the basis for the final product, and that the legs will be covered once everything's in place?
March 29, 201312 yr comment_154821 The hypodermic needles aren't in place yet are they? By my reckonings, the leg being put in place will have The Flasher on it. The needle-looking thing is a hydraulic pump isn't it?

March 29, 201312 yr comment_154831 Before you know what they feel like? Wait and see, eh. I can feel myself moulding into them already. I'm adament they're not much different to Saw's.
March 29, 201312 yr comment_154859 I won't pass a judgement until I can see it complete A picture of the cars have gone up on Facebook, my favourite comments so far are 'does it go?' And 'can you stand up on this ride?' Edit: just noticed this reply to a comment from towers: 'Hi Richard - have you seen the track?! Not one for lapbars!' Seems like the OTSR choice was mainly because of the track layout, I guess most people consider lap bars 'unsafe'
March 29, 201312 yr comment_154865 I will admit, I was hoping for floorless trains but these still look really nice. Can't wait till opening now.
March 30, 201312 yr comment_154920 Just found this, and looks like atleast 2 new legs have started to be constructed, I know the closest to us is The Giggler leg and the completed one is The Flasher's Leg, and the other one being built looks to be the leg of either The Inoculator or The Tickler. Cant wait until it looks like this!
March 30, 201312 yr comment_154938 Giggler leg, flasher leg, inoculator, tickler, marmaliser. Never has a rollercoaster had features with so many names that is simply OTT. Confusion in m'brain, how will I remember all these?!
March 30, 201312 yr comment_154943 OTT? Please, this is phenomenal in every way. The ride theme is spot on; you don't control someone's mind without overwhelming the senses /roll eyes It looks like both legs on the Marmaliser are now in place
March 30, 201312 yr comment_154953 Do you think "The Flasher" would be where the ORP would be placed/taken?
March 30, 201312 yr comment_154979 Yay, That is definitely The Ticklers leg, I'm getting well excited now
March 30, 201312 yr comment_155008 Coaster and I were on site today. Anyone want some piccies? The park looks magical -andBut you don't really care about that do you . What you want is Smiler pics. I'm only going to post a couple though. And my usual shot from blivy queueThe only action we could see on site today was some concrete being layedand some welding inside the stationSmiler staff handing out cardsAnd finally a shot looking back to X sector as we headed over to Dark Forest.
March 30, 201312 yr comment_155014 The layout looks incredible! The design and compactness of the coaster!!!!!! Looks like the wait will be worth it ... Anyone know whats planned for the screen in the center?
March 31, 201312 yr comment_155092 ^ If the actual Smiler game is anything to go by, the screens will feature random scenes which depict happiness and joy. Quite similar to the hypno screens in The Sanctuary's marmalisation room.
March 31, 201312 yr comment_155185 3 legs down, 2 to go... This will probably look HUGE in real-life and with the theming elements attached...
March 31, 201312 yr comment_155188 I get the feeling Smiler's air-time bunny hop thing will deliver more air-time than Saw's ~50ft jobby.
March 31, 201312 yr comment_155197 I'm just waiting for some Smiler marmalade. Marmalisation Marmalade anyone?
