Heya everyone, I will be getting my annual pass next year, as I am getting a car in January. They journeys are a pain in the ass on the train, so I will be going enough to justify a pass. My question is does anyone know if Thorpe are running the BOGOF this year. I know they did last year, just before and over the closed season, and was wondering if they are this year, maybe it is an annual thing over the closed season? Thanks for anyones replies!

Might sound like an odd question but I was wondering if anybody knows how much Thorpe Park engineers get paid. I am looking to do a career with mechanical engineering in the future and was wondering if Thorpe was a good idea or not. I know I'll enjoy it because working with machines and rides is what I enjoy doing, but I don't want to set my goal as an engineer there just to find out I'll be payed a fraction of minimum wage, which I expect Merlin get away with . Any info as to other wages there might help as well so I can get an idea of how much they pay generally for work. Thanks.

Hey guys,Being the 'official' THORPE PARK fansite, I'd like to get a feel of what type of events that you would perhaps like to see during the year. We're already putting together a SWARM and Colossus 10 event, so please no Swarm ERT, 'behind the scenes' type of stuff, as the park are already arranging these packages for roller coaster clubs during the year.I'm generally just trying to get a feel of what our members would like to see. It doesn't have to be 'trips' as such, it could be news or something else that you may find interesting. We were lucky enough to be given the 'official' tag from THORPE PARK themselves, so as such what would YOU like to see from the official T…

  11. Hey guys, I have now been notified that merlin staff can attend the preview day aswell with their friends which is a shame because I have missed the day now! Just for future reference: Will there be a 2014 friends and family day? How many friends/family can the staff take? How to get tickets for the day and do you have to pay? If there is one next year I may get a good chance to ride the 2014 ride with a short queue

  12. I'm going to Thorpe Parks Fright Nights however I have recently had knee surgey. I can walk no problem but I don't want to push it, so I was wondering which of the horror mazes would involve running as I'd like to avoid them. The walking ones are fine,I just don't want to run on it.

And where in the park is 'cast reception'?Haha I have so many question but I'm just going to stick to those 4 since this is my first job and I really want to get it!Any help is much appreciated! 15. Hi! I am considering handing in an application to Thorpe Park either applying for Admissions or Ride Operations. I am hoping for a seasonal position and want to save up for uni. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what the interview process is like and if anyone has worked for Thorpe Park what it's like working for Thorpe Park, preferably in Admissions or Rides. Even information on how these sectors work in other resorts such as in Alton Towers or Chessington would be really helpful Thanks

Today I was watching the news and Stealth came up so obviously I started paying attention. From (I think) the 15th or something like that (???) Thorpe are playing a game/challenge thing where guests are not allowed to scream on their 'terrifying adrenaline filled rides.' I dont know anymore on this, if anyone does please comment...

  18. Hey guys as some of you know I contribute to another online forum Pleasure beach experience that's dedicated to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and what comes up a lot on there recently is that supposedly Thorpe Park had a bad year in 2012 and that The Swarm was a failure? http://www.pleasurebeachexperience.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&p=58409#p58409 Having not heard anything official if there anything about a bad year? I just wondered your thoughts and if someone could maybe give me any insight into what there claiming?

Hi all, I'm new to the forums but was wondering if the Thorpe Park press night tickets were usable by other people. My friend offered me one because his dad, who works for a newspaper, can't make it. I was wondering if we would still be allowed in or if they would see it wasn't him and deny us entry. Thanks in advance.

  23. Hi: Is it still only the last 2 turnstills on the far right for passholders or can you go to any of them? Are their workers there to help or is it do it yourself like in Alton towers. Its usually faster when you do it yourself, but would like to know how Thorpe Park operates now this new year 2024. Thanks!!
