February 6, 201411 yr comment_176026 Toothache is hell! Had one early on this year so went to my dentist who gave me antibiotics after discovering there was a slight infection. Anbesol is great stuff for curing toothache. As for wisdom teeth, my top 2 have come out slightly wonky which is normal according to my dentist. If you get pain then you should get them checked out. I still don't see why we need wisdom teeth...
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176239 Off topic to the teeth but still about food. It really turbines my tubulars when a crisp multipack has less of the nice flavours, e.g. say 5 ready salted buy only 3 prawn cocktail or roast chicken.
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176241 It really turbines my tubulars Well thats a new one I have never heard before
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176249 Haha! My brother was eating salt and vinegar crisps yesterday and suddenly made strange "Hmmm!!" type noises while pulling a face and was flapping his hands. When he could finally talk he said he'd eaten something really sour, like "a cooked blob of vinegar or something"
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176267 On the subject of crisps - I don't know why it annoys me, but why do some crisp companies (I'm looking at you Walkers!), insist on putting Cheese & Onion in Blue packets, but Salt & Vinegar in Green packets. Am I the only one that seems to think that it should be the other way round? It shouldn't annoy me, but it really does!
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176275 What really gets me is that companies can't decide! You get some with green being salt and vinegar and blue being cheese and onion and others with green for cheese and onion and blue for salt and vinegar. Can we not have a standard formula here guys!?!?!?!?!?!?!
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176284 I thought only Walkers insisted on blue packs being Cheese & Onion? Any other brand I've seen, blue has been Salt & Vinegar! Either way Walkers Cheese & Onion are grim
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176288 I always thought Walkers had some form of claim that only their crisp packages can be green for S&V and blue for C&O? I don't want to say a patent for it, but it's the best word I think that could describe it! Either way, I prefer to not buy bags of crisps - more air than food in a bag these days it seems...
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176289 I went to buy a "share size" bag of Wotsits the other day. Not sure why it was called "share size" when it seemed they'd emptied an ordinary sized bag into one double the size, then filled the rest with air!
February 15, 201411 yr comment_176550 When people say something like "three year ago". They use the singular word 'year' when they are referring to more than one! It's a plural!! "Three YEARS ago" not "three year ago"!!!! Rant over
February 15, 201411 yr comment_176569 I think it's a Northener thing, "Three year ago I were sitt'n in this 'ere big tree" kinda thing, like you know.
February 15, 201411 yr comment_176571 Meeting my boyfriend's family for the first time properly and they take me on a meal out. But I can't eat anything because of being so ill from poisoning myself with undercooked pork earlier in the week I hate my ****ty cooking ability...
February 15, 201411 yr comment_176572 I think it's a Northener thing, "Three year ago I were sitt'n in this 'ere big tree" kinda thing, like you know. My grandad does it and he's from London...
February 16, 201411 yr comment_176603 Another rant from me: When teachers set homework but don't collect it in/mark it.
February 16, 201411 yr comment_176605 Depends on what the homework is. Sometimes it's good to be set homework for the simple fact that it makes students do the work. Of course, getting feedback is good, and if you really wanted it marked, no doubt you could ask if you really wanted. It's a part of education - you get work set, and it's not always possible for it to be marked. Indeed, as you go through education, it will become more and more common. Think of it as preparation
February 16, 201411 yr comment_176606 But when I do a huge project and it never gets returned to me, even asking for it back. Twice.
February 23, 201411 yr comment_177091 I want to rant about people who ruin things for others. A lot of them exist in the funfair/theme park fanbase and they are annoying as hell..... Anyone encounted them before?
February 25, 201411 yr comment_177247 I've encountered them with movies and things...but never in the theme park industry? How do you mean Kyle?
February 25, 201411 yr comment_177248 I've encountered them with movies and things...but never in the theme park industry? How do you mean Kyle? there are a few funfair "fans" who like to slag off the showmen and rides which ruins it for others. I wont name names but yeah its annoying :/
March 7, 201411 yr comment_177758 Eurghhh, deadlines! Getting so many of them recently, not looking forward to going to uni, as there'll be a lot more there!
March 7, 201411 yr comment_177763 ^ Don't be too sure. I do next to nothing at university truly, and am doing well in everything. I found sixth form a lot more work!
March 7, 201411 yr comment_177765 From living with a people doing a variety of subjects, it very much depends on what you end up doing at uni which determines how many deadlines you have to keep up with. For example, last term, I was having to do 3 Assignments every fortnight (two of which were due at the same time each time, which was annoying), as well as having to chip away at doing an essay (yes, Maths students have essays too ). This term has been a bit more relaxed for me, but the past couple of weeks have been a nightmare, with essays to do, Assignments to hand in, a presentation next week, as well as revision for exams which are just over a month away. However, other people seem to not have many deadlines at all, and just have bigger project due in about once or twice a term. Then there's others who have loads of essays due in in the same week, so unless you start them early, you just have a week of pure misery, with 9 other weeks of doing very little. Then there's some people who just do exams pretty much, so have very little to worry about in terms of deadlines. As with anything, if you keep on top of things to the best of your ability, you'll be fine (even if it is really stressful!). (Oh, and Tommy, I'm sure you'll have plenty of work to do in second year and beyond; enjoy it whilst you can... )
