Guest Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Anyway...If you could choose the colour of stealth and its supports. What colour would it be I think that Stealth looks cool with its colours Quote
Mitchada04 Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Well Stealth has a clone. Zaturn at Space World. Uses the blue throughout the whole ride with white supports. I mean it's okay but I love the way Stealth fades from the blue into the white top hat. It not only blends in with the background of a grey sky (one of the reasons it's white I believe) but shows it doesn't need a bold colour to stand out. It's a very simple ride at heart, height and speed. Doesn't try do anything fancy with it, sits at the back of the park ominously, it's just an excellent ride. They can also so easily colour it when they want too... Well if it's dark that is. Stealth is the icon of the park, the one ride you will always know if it's closed because you can't go on social media without someone complaining that it isn't open (and fair enough, I'd be gutted if it was closed on my only visit of a year). Good old Stealth. Quote
JoshC. Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Well Stealth has a clone. Zaturn at Space World. Zaturn isn't technically an exact clone; it's a tiny bit taller and longer. [/nitpick] I like Stealth's colour scheme. It's simple and works well. I did prefer the original colour scheme, where they had the dark blue, followed by a slightly light blue on some of the supports and track, then the white - came across like there were varying water levels. Photos to show what I mean... From Stealth's minisite. From TTP. Only a really small point I know; shame that they decided to repaint it though! Quote
Ricky Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Annoyingly though, it was only the supports that where repainted! The track never changed. JoshC. 1 Quote
GladiatorFanKyle Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Is it true that stealth has to be white as its pushing the height limit and it has to be white to not stand out? Quote
JoshC. Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Is it true that stealth has to be white as its pushing the height limit and it has to be white to not stand out? That's pretty much the reason- the park worked closely with the council whilst planning the ride, and it was decided that having the higher parts of the ride white would mean it wouldn't stand out too much. Whatever Posted December 7, 2014 Report Posted December 7, 2014 Should've painted it grey- British skies are always that colour. pluk 1 Quote
Kerfuffle Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 not that kind of top hat YOU KILLED THE JOKE, DUDE! Anyway, I think the only reason I feared Stealth back in the day was because of the launch. Well, that gets anyone these days! Quote
Guest Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 Saturn is a little bit taller than Stealth Quote
Tom Posted December 8, 2014 Report Posted December 8, 2014 *Zaturn Josh has already enlightened us of this fact Zaturn isn't technically an exact clone; it's a tiny bit taller and longer. [/nitpick] Kerfuffle and Olistjj 2 Quote

Benin Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 A shame that they didn't repaint the sign to at least attempt to hide the original stuff... Why are jobs only seemingly half done by Merlin? Quote
Whatever Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 Still says 0-80 in 2.3 seconds. Isn't it 1.8 now? OldFarmerDean 1 Quote
Coaster Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 Looks pretty bad as you can still see the old writing behind it. It's good that they are improving things but it's frustrating as it could have looked really good rather than 'passable.' Quote
huzzellio Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 Still says 0-80 in 2.3 seconds. Isn't it 1.8 now?The sign inside the fish and chip restaurant says 2.5 seconds lol Quote
Adam P Posted March 7, 2015 Report Posted March 7, 2015 But that isn't the old writing behind it, that's the "Stealth" logo that has always been on it, the background graphics have also been added. Looks much better. JoshC. 1 Quote
