August 29, 201213 yr comment_140526 Its almost certain metal work/track pieces should be coming next week if they get put up next week though, is another thing Also a polite note to everyone, not just Confuzzled, most of them theme park pages are fake, so its better not post anything that hasn't come from an credited source as it can easily confuse members if you haven't said in your original post who/where it came from
September 1, 201213 yr comment_140624 Its almost certain metal work/track pieces should be coming next week if they get put up next week though, is another thing I very much doubt it as the rebar has only just surfaced in the last couple of days, I would expect to see a scattering of structure towards the end of the month with a view to going vertical from early October.....
September 1, 201213 yr comment_140626 I probably sound like a div but has the plans been released showing what's inside the building??
September 1, 201213 yr comment_140627 No. Plans haven't been submitted where we are able to view the interior of the building. And I don't think Alton towers shows the interiors of their buildings, unless it requires a deep excavation such as with sub-terra.
September 1, 201213 yr comment_140628 Ahhh kk on the topic of sub terra do you actually go underground on the lift?
September 1, 201213 yr comment_140642 There was lots of concrete rebar at the back of the construction site yesterday as seen from this photo: There was also a lot of pipes near the goal striker building which might have got something to do with SW7 sub station being built: All credit goes to Djtruefitt from TowersStreet for the pictures.

It's because internal views rarely need to be shown for the actual stuff inside the building, as Sub Terra only showed the layout of the building, rather than showing off the ride system/theming... Ahhh kk on the topic of sub terra do you actually go underground on the lift? No
September 15, 201212 yr comment_141244 Has any of the above ground stuff like the track and supports and station been put up yet or started to be put up or is it still a massive hole in the ground?
September 15, 201212 yr comment_141246 The track is not yet on site but is expected in the next 2 to 3 weeks.
September 15, 201212 yr comment_141247 Nothing yet, I imagine they are reinforcing the excavations and preparing foundations before going vertical. The best place to look at the site at the mo is here rather than me nicking their pics and copying them here.
September 16, 201212 yr comment_141292 I'm not sure if it's just my computer. But for some reason, the official SW7 alton towers site isn't loading for me. It shows as if somebody has tried to change something on the site. Only that it didn't load up well. http://www.altontowers.com/2013/
September 16, 201212 yr comment_141293 The whole Towers website isn't working for me so who knows, they could be uploading something or someone's touched something and broke it
September 16, 201212 yr comment_141302 I hope its to do with SW7! I cant wait for day they announce the name and knowing Alton Towers it will be Obscure like Th13teen , Rita or Oblivion. What do you guys think or want it to be named as?
September 16, 201212 yr comment_141314 Facts we know: - Scientific Analysis facility from the 1950s - Some sort of Sanctuary - Ministry of Joy It could be called "The Ministry" or just "Ministry"?
September 16, 201212 yr comment_141319 Facts we know: - Scientific Analysis facility from the 1950s - Some sort of Sanctuary - Ministry of Joy It could be called "The Ministry" or just "Ministry"? Sound so Orwellian. Let's hope they put some real though into recreating the intense paranoia and backwards totalitarianism of Oceania as in Nineteen Eighty-Four, with lots of cameras, scanners, audio-devices and 'telescreens'. I think also, Oryx after Margaret Atwood's Oryx & Crake sounds like an awesome name, but the link to biochemically engineered apocalypse and the character of Oryx might be a bit too harrowing for a theme park like Alton. Plus, that'd mean an IP so thinking about it, maybe not.
September 16, 201212 yr comment_141320 JOY! WHERE'S JOY?! JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY! [/obscure reference no-one will get]
September 18, 201212 yr comment_141371 Ooh, what could this be? Taken from the Gertslauer Facebook page: Gerstlauer is hard at work building some great rides for 2013
September 18, 201212 yr comment_141373 It COULD be a new roller coaster... But I dunno... Olympic Orbit clone?
September 18, 201212 yr comment_141376 It looks similar to a beyond vertical drop, no? They tend to go from bi-rail to tri-rail at the bottom of their drops I believe. Anything could be possible at this stage - SW7 surely isn't the only product Gerstlauer will have for 2013?
September 18, 201212 yr comment_141393 Sorry for the daft question, but will SW7 actually have a vertical (or beyond vertical) drop? I'm hearing mixed opinions.
September 18, 201212 yr comment_141394 According to the plans, it will not. However, there is no indication about what happens inside the building, before lift 1. You can watch a re-created simulation of the ride: http://sw7.towersstreet.com/recreation/ There are also plans on there, which will show you there's no beyond vertical drop outside.
