February 29, 201213 yr comment_132990 Was hoping for something the same as Raptor, seeing as pretty much everything about this ride is the same!
February 29, 201213 yr comment_132991 But this might be a teaser sort of advert, I'm hoping a half decent TV advert will be out soon!
February 29, 201213 yr comment_132992 Totally agree. Why do they feel the need to speed the trains up in promotions To make the thing jonathon ross said about the swarm going at 100 mph seem true.
February 29, 201213 yr comment_133000 I think the official advert will be plastered everywhere... from Facebook to thorpepark.com. This was probably an early bird attempt to get the ride open in the public as much as possible and talked about... Evidently it has worked.
February 29, 201213 yr comment_133005 This was probably an early bird attempt to get the ride open in the public as much as possible and talked about... Evidently it has worked.I'm not sure here, a forum from a site dedicated to the entire place, is a great judge of that really is it?
February 29, 201213 yr comment_133007 Omg I'm literally on the edge of my seat over here. Bring on the 15th!
February 29, 201213 yr comment_133008 Yeah, not great. Don't like the sped up effect at all - can't imagine this is the final full ad!? Still - much excite for The Swarm!
February 29, 201213 yr comment_133009 I want Lez Cougan back on the scene! Would be great he crops up in the TV ad / online virals; could certainly add a little extra than just showing the ride..
February 29, 201213 yr comment_133011 I swear like, every theme park does the over speeding thing for their ads?Thirteen did it, Colossus did it, Inferno did it, Saw did it, Stealth even probably did it...Just makes the ride look more 'extreme' to the casuals...
February 29, 201213 yr comment_133014 Agreed. Raptor's advert: ...would be virtually perfect for Swarm - people running away from 'the Swarm' until it eventually picks them up *cue switch to ride footage*.
February 29, 201213 yr comment_133026 I'd be very disappointed if that was the final advert. The one you just posted a both would have been a perfect advert for the swarm, I would of mistaken it for swarm if it didn't say Raptor at the end. However, all of the adverts have had someone talking over at the end and at least some pov onride footage with people on it, as so with: As you can see, all of these have had professional filming and pretty good story lines. I would be deeply surprised if with their most themed and story based ride, they went with that awful advert. I expect something that blows all of these adverts away in a few days.
February 29, 201213 yr comment_133027 There will be another advert because they filmed the TV one the other week, with real people :DPatience, my dears
March 1, 201213 yr comment_133029 I have a feeling the TV Advert may start todayWhat with it being first day of the month and all....Exactly 2 weeks to go!!
March 1, 201213 yr comment_133035 Ahh good fun watching those adverts again. Always loved the tussauds adverts of the early 00s. They were literally fantastic.
March 1, 201213 yr comment_133038 Ahh good fun watching those adverts again. Always loved the tussauds adverts of the early 00s. They were literally fantastic.Inferno was my personal favourite from the last ten years. No FROM THE PARK THAT BOUGHT YOU or pointless gimmicks just a theme and a B&M train hurtling into a cavern. Beautiful.
March 1, 201213 yr comment_133039 http://youtu.be/vyGvrkjVjkYThorpe have released their first POV, looks amazing!
March 1, 201213 yr comment_133041 Nice to see the trim after the inline twist still leaves some residual speed for the last turn. Overall, it looks good fun! Obviously the video makes it look a little slower than I am sure it will feel in the flesh, but I cant wait to ride!
March 1, 201213 yr comment_133042 I think that the POV would have looked better if the camera was slightly further back so that you saw some of the theming like the top of the plane wing. The first drop looks so good in the front seat though, actually can't wait!
March 1, 201213 yr comment_133043 Looks lovely, I'm actually surprised by the pacing, which looks faster than I was expecting for the most part - it doesn't seem to crawl the taller elements as slowly as it seemed to from off ride. Also, just listen to it! Very happy

Very muddy round the back though!
March 1, 201213 yr comment_133046 Awesome stuff Although I couldn't help by being distracted by all the mud/groundwork, it ruined it a bit for me BUT according to a YouTube comment: "This video was taken during initial test runs. Since them, there has been considerable themeing and landscaping around the site." :)But in terms of the actual coaster itself, it looks amazing and sounds amazing
March 1, 201213 yr comment_133049 Ladies and Gentlemen, the Uk's fifth B&M. And what a bloody stunner it is. The sound, the strange way the seat slowly turns through the inversions, that amazing feeling its going to be on the right hand side as you flip over, the theming.Hats off to Thorpe. Well and truely.
March 1, 201213 yr comment_133063 As the train passes over the final inversion, you can see some of the station under neath it. The brown barriers are in but from the pace of the train, there's not much opportunity to get a decent frame with a good view. You can see some of the paving as the train leaves the Zero-G roll and you can also see the second water effect pond has been filled. There is no decent view of the rickety jetty though so there is still no news to report regarding it. I do hope Thorpe do something with that empty land after the brake run though. Even though I know they wont, it does seem a bit empty compared to the rest of the island...
