Quick Questions

Hello, I'll be visiting Thorpe Park tomorrow and need to know quickly (in the next few hours) whether the ban on "cameras and phones on rides" which know exists at the majority of theme parks run by Merlin applies just to while on the rides, or does it extend to the whole park (lets say photographing a ride, family photo or attraction from the ground)? It would be good to have an answer as soon as possible...

What ride's have let you stay on due to no que's?I remember when I was on Logger's Leap for nearly 20mins late on Fright Night's, it had just rained so I guess that was the reason ;)Discuss . . . . .

Hi all, Just wondering, if entering with a Merlin Annual Pass do you have to queue in a special queue to enter the park instead of the usual makeshift zig-zag queue set up at the beginning of the day. Also, can my non annual pass holder friends enter the same way as me with their regular tickets as I don't really want to split up from them. Many Thanks

Okay, I realised I typed slightly too quickly and mods tried to fix it and it sounded strange. Heres the question agian edited.If you've been on X:\ you'll know that if you look closely into the centre of the enclosure while riding, you can see what looks like rollercoaster cars covered in web? Strange? Can anyone shed some light?Cheers

If they haven't already, I'm going this Monday and expect it to be busy, but how busy will it be? I'll probably sound pretty stupid, and I think I already have an answer anyway but just wanted to check.The seat belts on rides like Nemesis Inferno and Colossus, what are they for? My guess is extra safety for if the top-restraint fails, but I'm pretty skinny and, looking in the station at a seat with its belt still attached, doesn't look very safe for me xD

Hey guys, I am visiting thorpe in 13 days and just have a question about which rides let you take off your shoes etc. I understand that the flat rides like samurai, vortex, rush and detonator allow shoes off but are there any other rides which allow you to do this? Many thanks

I am planning to stay at the SHARK hotel for 5 nights from the 23rd to the 27th of August but my problem is Thorpe only do 2 day tickets. if I have an annual pass can I get into the park on the other days I am there????

I was just wondering if anybody knows what the Thorpe Park 2011 Map looks like. I'm expecting it to be similar to last years, but I'd like to see the addition of Storm Surge. Forgive me If I'm wrong, but I seem to remember the map being released before Annual Pass Day and the Official Opening in 2010. Does anybody have a link or source where I can find it (if it's been released yet that is )Secondly, does anybody know if Storm Surge will be open for tomorrow (Annual Pass Day) I have 5 people coming with me who all want to ride it, so it would nice to be able to know before the actual event.Thanks, Jack

Hey guys,Being the 'official' THORPE PARK fansite, I'd like to get a feel of what type of events that you would perhaps like to see during the year.We're already putting together a SWARM and Colossus 10 event, so please no Swarm ERT, 'behind the scenes' type of stuff, as the park are already arranging these packages for roller coaster clubs during the year.I'm generally just trying to get a feel of what our members would like to see. Hi, I am hoping to go to Thorpe's Braniac event during the February half term, but on the off chance may have to use public transport to get there. Will there be any buses to Thorpe park from Staines running during the February half term event? If not, what (cheap'ish) alternatives are there from reaching the patk via Staines?

Hi from Australia everyone!We are coming over in May and I have just found this awesome forum so I thought I`d throw a question your way....Having only ever really been to Australian amusement parks (I did go to Alton Towers back in 1998, just as Oblivion opened) but the concept of Fast Track passes were not even invented, nor have they really reached our shores....As we really want to make the most of our day at TP...would anyone recommend purchasing the `unlimited ride fast track` pass for May (in the 2nd week probably) If its really going to save us a ton of time then its worth the investment but I was reading the TP page on Facebook and was surprised to hear how quiet…

I'm visiting the park on Friday 19th March and its apparently going to rain heavy I was just wondering what actions do THORPE PARK take if it rains in other words if its raining heavy do all rides have to close? and are there any rides which will not operate in rain?Thank you.

I'm planning on getting a standard annual pass for next year and I was wondering when I go to thorpe will I have to buy a ticket or do I just show my annual pass at the gate and then I can go straight in?? sorry if it seems like a silly question

Hi, just a quick question here. I will be visiting the AP preview on thursday and have a booked place and ticket. I was wondering if they look at both your ticket and your pass or just your ticket. My reason being that I dont want loads of non ap holders turning up on the night who have tickets(as you didn't need your pass number to book), therefore increasing wait times. If anyone went last year and could tell me roughly how the event ran as a whole it would be really appreciated.

I have recently created a youtube channel covering the UK's theme park rides. Up until now I have been using still photos in my videos. Is there an official policy as to whether video cameras are allowed on rides at Thorpe Park? If I use my camera, is there a chance of it getting confiscated?Any help will be appreciated

Does anyone know what exactly happens at Thorpe when there is a thunder and lightning storm with operations and which rides may stay open and if it is scheduled for near enough the whole day will the park open?
