March 7, 201510 yr comment_204265 Very happy about Depth Charge's refresh, shame about Loggers though. (Let the merlin bashing begin)
March 7, 201510 yr comment_204269 Let's not bash. Merlin are wonderful. Loggers looks better than ever!
March 7, 201510 yr comment_204330 I wouldn't go as far to say merlin are wonderful. There are still many things they could be doing better (get rid of VIP for one). However for the time being it would seem Thorpe have done a good Job.
August 4, 201510 yr comment_213904 Anyone know what's up with Loggers? Been down since Friday according to the queue-times site. Unusual for it to be down nearly a week.
August 4, 201510 yr comment_213910 It was only open for an hour that last day it was open. I assume they are just doing maintenance to it/ waiting for a part. I doubt it will be much longer.
August 4, 201510 yr comment_213911 It was only open for an hour that last day it was open. I assume they are just doing maintenance to it/ waiting for a part. I doubt it will be much longer. Is that part a new tunnel?
August 4, 201510 yr comment_213921 Over the last month or so it has been breaking down quite a lot with the water draining while the ride has been running and then it has had to stop running and evac most of the time so might be a water pressure problem or a drainage one...

August 4, 201510 yr comment_213965 There were parts for something which arrived outside of Samurai on Friday night and were gone on Saturday don't know if it was for Samurai or Loggers but during Saturday members of ride staff were looking at the empty trough before the rip tunnel lift hill for a considerable amount of time .. ?
August 5, 201510 yr comment_213980 Might suggest a sensor fault or there might have been something stuck in the conveyor or another conveyor related incident or the actual trough may be broken....
August 18, 201510 yr comment_215255 Underneath the latter of the outside area of saw, there are a load of water pumps connected to loggers leap suggesting there are water pressure issues or a system failure, or the tunnel area and surrounding bit may have flooded as in these areas the water level beside the trough was high in the tunnel and after there was a lot more water on the land then usual after the tunnel, which could mean the actual ride itself has flooded or a pipe was/is broken that is used to fill up the trough after the first drop or take water from before the hill.
November 9, 20159 yr comment_222954 does anyone know what's happening to loggers next year?? is it staying, or is it undergoing a huge refurb or is it being removed?????
November 9, 20159 yr comment_222963 Just in case the rumours are true and loggers has leaped its last I took a final ride on it yesterday with a little tear of nostalgia in my eye. Hopefully the rumours prove to be unfounded, but as a betting man my money is remaining safely in my pocket...
November 9, 20159 yr comment_222973 I went on Loggers, Slammer and X with the mindset that it could be my last ever rides on them yesterday, but realistically I think that Slammer is the only one which is likely to go this winter. I don't fear for the future of Loggers - it is one of the best queue shifters on park these days and a good log flume (it would be so much better with some TLC though, and bring back the tunnel!)
November 10, 20159 yr comment_222993 I did Slammer twice and Loggers twice on Sunday in case they are unavailable next year. X I'm not bothered about tbh so I didn't ride it. lots of rumours flying around about Loggers and it will be sad if it's not open next year but if it needs work doing on it then so be it (it is very old now!) - I personally never bother with Tidal Wave during the summer as it gets me too wet whereas Loggers gets me nice and refreshed wet (though it tastes nasty!). The other water rides bar Tidal Wave are pointless going on if your intention is to get wet - would be good if they did something to Rumba so you actually do get wet rather than the odd bit of splash if your lucky
November 10, 20159 yr comment_223013 I really hope Loggers doesn't go, log flumes are such a signature attraction for me at a theme park
November 10, 20159 yr comment_223031 I'm not expecting Loggers to go anywhere yet, however should it be receiving a major refurbishment next year, I will expect it to shut down in September time [which would make more sense considering it gets colder an darker then]. Slammer & X might be going [however the latter seems unlikely].

November 10, 20159 yr comment_223065 If the talk is true of Thorpe have some rides down all season and Loggers being one of them, I seriously hope to see a big clean up of the ride.. I'm not talking BTM at Paris style, but an entire season down means they better be up-keeping (aside from the ride hardware it's obviously lacked with Tussauds/Merlin) one of the best log flumes around.. that includes the tunnel !
November 11, 20159 yr comment_223149 I don't want to worry anyone, but there's something missing from the ride line up page... https://www.thorpepark.com/rides/ X is there, Slammer is there, everything else is there. Loggers ... is not. Should I be moving this topic to another area of the forum?!
November 11, 20159 yr comment_223151 Removing Loggers would be a terrible decision. Really hope that's just an error.
