Coaster
Wow... some of their social media replies really are shocking, you'd think this was coming from a fan account with 10 followers not the official Twitter page! Then again. I suppose it's better than nothing. Ringo, Marhelorpe and Project LC

JoshC.
I would assume this is what the Stealth tweet was referencing... https://thelunacinema.com/thorpe-park Outdoor cinema screening of Back to the Future and Bohemian Rhapsody during the May Bank Holiday. Tickets start from £27.50, including 2 hours of ride time on Stealth, Dodgems, Detonator and Teacups, with the film's starting at 9pm, and the screen being set up by Stealth. Interesting idea I guess, but no appeal to me personally Ringo and CharlieN

Actually very good to see other companies wanting to try something new with the park.
pluk
While it's not for me at the mo, this is a very good idea! Hope it works out. I wonder if it's hit by bad weather they could move it in to pirates? Yeah, pirates. It'll always be pirates. Ringo

These screening things usually go ahead even in heavy rain, they advise you to be prepared although they will upsell ponchos etc Like you it’s not for me but it will appeal to some. Coaster
Back to the Future is the best film ever and Queen are awesome so I approve. Probably won't go though unless it's discounted for passholders (which I'm not expecting it to be, as it's an extra).
Coasterforce
Considering the 'Amity' theming, Shark Hotel, etc it's be fantastic to have a Jaws screening at some point. As a huge fan, I'd happily see that!
Matt A
Season pass sale is on until the end of March, now £49 and a season digipass is included. Seems like great value to me!
JoshC.
Officially announced... But really, using the "UK's first...at Thorpe Park"?! So bloody stupid. Space Station Zero was therefore the UK's first roller coaster at Thorpe Park. Colossus was the world's first roller coaster to have inversions...at Thorpe Park. *sigh* Ringo and CharlieN
Portvls
I actually thought it was a decent idea at first.. Not one I’d personally be that interested in, but it’s something different? But £27 a ticket? And £35 if you want a seat provided for you? Come on...

Remember this is being done by a third party, not Thorpe Park. Upcharge on seating and even cushions is the norm at these outdoor cinema events Portvls
JoshC.
Luna Cinema tickets are normally £15 at other venues. That in some sense means it's a £12 charge for the 2 hours of rides, and more unique location. Given that Thorpe are the ones pushing it, I imagine they contacted Luna Cinema to diversify their events further. Thorpe will probably make a percentage of the sales after a certain amount, hence why they'll push it. Really though, it should be the other way round - people who are interested in outdoor cinema could lap this up, given the location and the rides. As I say, I like this idea, even if it's not my cup of tea. A very strong negative reaction on social media though - a tad surprising, but I can understand the point of 'why are you focusing on this' though. profburp
Saw this this morning. Think this is a really good offer and should help to boost visitor numbers this season despite there being no new attractions as such. For those without a season pass or MAP this looks to be a very good option!
JoshC.
I mean, that's effectively the same as a 2-4-1, which the park have done for YEARS. Just dressed up differently and slightly easier to access.
Matt A
That picture is deceptive, the deal is actually only for hotel bookings, not for day tickets

ScottYalloP
Cant see the appeal of paying £27 to sit on the floor myself plus the only rides open are: - Stealth - Teacups - Detonator: Bombs Away - Dodgems
JoshC.
Full version of the map now available: On top of what we already knew, we have... -Wilderness Bar & Kitchen replacing Sticky Sisters -New name for the coffee hut outside Wilderness -The disappearance of The Grill / any food place in Old Town -Live actors not listed as part of TWD experience, but still for DBGT I don't like how the events are highlighted; makes them look like major attractions. That makes it especially awkward come June, when GameFX is finished (unless they plan to release further maps, but then why bother highlighting Jungle Escape/BounceZilla so prominently?). Also find it very weird that Sunken Gardens is highlighted so largely; it's bigger then 10 rides! Do like the little symbols representing each coaster; they're neat. But overall, not overly keen on this style. Better than some previous versions, and at least it can be used as a 'map', but feels very squished (why so much blank space around?!). Coaster
It looks like the events are the main features of the park with how they're shown much bigger than the ride names, the Fright Nights one is fine though IMO (since it is, or was at least, a big event). The map also makes the park look much smaller than previous ones have done. 2542464 and Ringo
Marhelorpe
“Angry Birds 4D Experience - Suitable for all ages, meet here for education TED talks” Ooooooooh, is TED coming to Thorpe? Big thumbs up from me if they are this season! PJ.
Stuntman707
I like the new map, overall it's less depressing much better than previous years. I like how it looks a little bit like a treasure Map too with the writing and the arrows around the edges. ???️ What happened to Saw Alive?? Matt 236
Definitely better than last year’s map, but I think those logos for GameFX and Bouncezilla aren’t big or clear enough really!
Coasterforce
It's decent. I think they give an outline of the overall structure and what they want to achieve, what more can you ask for?
