Merry-go-girl
Wouldn't having heating in one section of the queue only make the rest of it seem all the more colder?
ashleyrose-66
Heaters installed in the cave? Probably the most unnecessary addition in the history of unnecessary additions... Â Ah, but just think how nice they will look with a bit of tinsel wrapped around it next Christmas... pluk, MattyMoo and OldFarmerDean
TraX
I'm just *sure* that H&S would have all the correct risk assessments in place this time, before doing anything like that.. Â Â Wasn't there an actual reason the cave was heated?
Merry-go-girl
Maybe that's where staff like to go to hook-up out of opening hours.
lewumbrajumbos
No expert on animals but would the heaters be to make it warmer for the insects? Or do they have heaters in the cage ...
HermanTheGerman
They have a heat light on the floor of their cave.
Fred
Wait they have scorpions in the tunnel? Â Bugger. I walked through that thinking it was still Runaway Train. This has ruined everything.
JoshC.
^ I think they were added a couple of months after opening. (Well, despite being stuck in the tunnel for so long and having a good look, I didn't see any during my visit in April!)
Benin
Yeah later in the year, certainly there in October, it was cool, but Scorpions are dull creatures so it doesn't provide much...
Kerfuffle
Yeah later in the year, certainly there in October, it was cool, but Scorpions are dull creatures so it doesn't provide much... They're only dull because they spend most of their time in that cage sleeping. Try getting up close to one in the desert sometime, then you'll be eating your words. OldFarmerDean
I went a few times last year... the scorpions looked so fake!?
Coaster
I think there's supposed to be a few real ones, as well as fake ones. Â I think I saw the real ones but not 100% sure.
Adam P
I believe it started with a fake one at the beginning of the season, then during the Summer some real ones were put in (only as I remember the heat light!)
lewumbrajumbos
Fake ones have been there since the ride opened while the cage had none in. I think real ones were added in the beggining of summer not entirly sure on that but I know the real ones were a late addition! Currently it's a mix of fake and real and the real ones are always hard to spot!
