Cal
Haven't seen Samurai test today but the signs have been put back up since this morning except the queue time board, and ride staff are saying it may open today but they can't guarantee it
Matt 236
I think more like the case of the ride May reopen in May. It May last a while but it May not.
Ryan
I saw it testing quite a bit this morning.
Olistjj
It was testing this afternoon as well
Mattgwise
Still testing. Was raising and lowering early on in day and then around 5pm could see it testing properly. Hopefully not too long until it reopens. Then we will be playing the "how long will it last" game.
Cal
According to queue times, Samurai is now open! Just waiting on the ghost train now

Marc
Can we not just be happy it's up and running again... Or would we rather it was just replaced with some turf... Or a hb leisure game? Kerfuffle and yeah

Matt 236
I think we know in a perfect world, Samurai would be replaced by a newer, greater, reliable more sophisticated model. One can dream on.

CharlieN
When Samurai reaches the end of its operational life ( Monday 16th of May 2016) I can really se a Gerstleaur Sky fly in its place. They're really unique interactive rides that are rerideable - perfect for TP.
Matt 236
They are comparatively low on throughout too. 12 riders per cycle = around 200 pph, so Yes perfect for the park. Sky Roller could be a better option.

Would've loved to have rode it before it dies tomorrow, but I guess not everything works out. In all seriousness, let's just hope it lasts at least a month! Samurai's my favourite flat on park, even though I've not been on for two years! Please Thorpe; just make it last longer than everyone anticipates it to! Ian-S
The only ride on park to make me feel genuinely ill! But glad we finally got to ride it today.
pognoi
Yeah same here, I had nothing but terrible memories of this but it was running very nicely today. No way near as tame as before, or as nauseating, surprisingly (if that even makes sense) What absolutely made my day was 2 attendants. Efficiency was high as hell. What was the cycle like? I can recommend some excellent anti sickness tablets - if I didnt take them, I'd be barfing my guts up on pretty much everything David B
pognoi
It was unlike any past ones. There was a healthy mix of some pops of airtime (yes, air time on this thing) and some moments of intense spinning and swerving, but for me personally perfect amounts of both, so it felt intense without the sicky feeling that normally comes with it. Ian-S
For us it was quiet intense, I sat on the outside and Cian (the singing ride op?) immediately said you've drawn the short straw I see. Well it certainly felt intense anyway. Annoyingly I can't take anti sickness tablets because they give me blinding migraine.
