March 23, 201312 yr comment_154118 Red fleece with black stripe? Yeah, we know that's towers' uniform . Smiler looks good, dont it?
March 23, 201312 yr comment_154129 I'm not so keen on the uniforms. I guess if past actors are anything to go by, then this isn't the official outfit. Still, it's great to see these actors out and about in X Sector. It raises the excitement and hype just a little bit more Fingers crossed this bad weather spell hasn't affected construction work.
March 23, 201312 yr comment_154134 I expect it to open in June at the earliest with this weather But also I reckon it will Open middle of July fully with all the Breakdowns it will have
March 23, 201312 yr comment_154143 If the world first is the inversion record, it has no reason to be breaking down all the time... Indeed, most Gerstlauer coasters are reliable, let's not tar them all with the same brush just because Saw is useless...

They aren't actors, they are the ride staff that are simply standing around the ride area. That is the uniform, at least one of them.

Indeed, most Gerstlauer coasters are reliable, let's not tar them all with the same brush just because Saw is useless... But what would explain the blocked out sections of pictures and the 'secret world's first element' in the game? It may just be the inversions, but I think it is most likely something else
March 23, 201312 yr comment_154168 I think they were just lying or maybe they thought they saw something interesting but it clearly wasn't.
March 23, 201312 yr comment_154169 We've seen what was behind the blocked out pictures by other aerial photos. There was nothing there whatsoever (Well, a brake run).
March 23, 201312 yr comment_154179 Fingers crossed this bad weather spell hasn't affected construction work. We all hope it hasn't caused more setbacks, but from the picture of a snowy Towers Street tweeted by the park this morning, they've had more or just as much as January's snow!
March 23, 201312 yr comment_154185 This has to be one of the worst snowfalls the parks had. It beats January by miles. The only picture which really does it justice is: http://instagram.com/p/XNZJbNg65t/ Courtesy of this person on twitter.

Well it's certainly a nice touch having the ride team themselves around the area, I'm not 100% sold on the uniform, but I suppose it'll grow on me. A white clinical outfit would have suited the theme perfectly. @Fred - that look absolutely horrendous! The park had no choice but to close IMO.

Still, to me it would be a bit of an anti-climax if the 'top secret' element to be revealed in the game is just the inversion record, because it's not really top secret!
March 26, 201312 yr comment_154508 I don't think those trim brakes will kill the speed that much, it still needs o be going fast enough to successfully complete the batwing without stalling, I think it's just a precautionary measure just incase a train goes in abit too fast.
March 26, 201312 yr comment_154509 Nice and discrete there Gerstlauer with that trim. No one will know it's there. Everyone will think it's magic when the train rapidly slows down
March 26, 201312 yr comment_154510 Well on the positive side... At least they are continuing construction after the ridiculous amount of snow they had to deal with...
March 26, 201312 yr comment_154517 Don't see why people are panicking about it just yet - not all trims are noticeable (example - Swarm). Would also be interested to what people would prefer - a trimmed airtime hill allowing for following elements to be taken in such a way that it will smash your head to smitherines or an untrimmed one where following elements smash your head in? Just because Th13teen has trims (like other Intamins) which are painfully noticeable, don't jump the gun and think this will be.
March 26, 201312 yr comment_154518 Thought this picture was worth sharing. Taken earlier today by Tatenhill Aviation:

March 27, 201312 yr comment_154631 Seeing that latest aerial shot it's just hit me the sheer scale of this thing! It's true! The ride is actually enormous. It's certainly looks like the most compact coaster in the world but when you're actually there, this thing feels like it dwarfs Oblivion. The track is huge - much bigger and wider than Saw's - and the pictures (not even this recent aerial shot!) really don't capture the size of The Smiler.
March 27, 201312 yr comment_154640 A catwalk being put in place for the brakes just before the vertical lift... And slowly putting up the second diving loop A panoramic from blivvy And again, another picture of the second diving loop being put up
