TraX
I think we were lucky to get what we did whilst the park was open and BE SURE, the park won't let us forget this over the 18 weeks to it's run up..

mpmtpark
Just drove past the park and saw that the corkscrew through the incline loop is complete.
vinnie
Bet that looks hot! Wish there were some photos of it for us all to have a good gawp at. Cant wait to see the complete circuit
JackR
In a strange way, I'm kind of hoping for there to be about 3 Dev Diary updates at the maximum now. That way we can see what is going on but there will also be a massive surprise when it opens in March...
mah boi
Recent picture and the plane has started construction. I do wonder how go-merlin gets these pictures. holtjammy16, Drawin, Ryan and 2 others
Sidders
OMG. That is all. But it does at least look like those metal fragments we saw on-site a few days before season closure were indeed for the plane!
Geo
Indeed how do they get these pictures
Sidders
There's a static camera (apparently worth £6,000 didn't ya know? ) taking photos every 15 minutes, which it will collate into a stop-motion sort of film showing the construction of The Swarm. The Developer's Diary releases stills that the camera has taken that are of significant importance such as the completion of a new element e.g. the corkscrew, or the starts of something else e.g. the plane. At other times, they'll capture the up-close-and-personal shots of things like the trains as well as various viewpoints of the ride once completed and feed them to us nerds. :)As for Go-Merlin... no idea. We're the OFFICIAL THORPE PARK FAN-SITE, after all... Marc do something about that pls.
Valentez
Recent picture and the plane has started construction. I do wonder how go-merlin gets these pictures.I love how the sky behind acts as the perfect backdrop for the ride Sidders, JackR, Drawin and 1 other
AdamY
Just popped up on my facebook and I was just a tad surprised, that looks brilliant! The corkscrew is a ) massive and b ) nicely asymmetrical with a pretty great profile Looking forward to seeing more of the plane!
JoshC.
I love how people are more interested with how GM get some photos than just how close the structure is to the track...
Benin
I love how people are more interested with how GM get some photos than just how close the structure is to the track... Optical Illusion isn't it? Couldn't care less who has photos tbh, does it really matter?
Fred
YES IT DOES. THIS IS COMPETITION. Drawin and Sidders
Sidders
I'm loving that the corkscrew will effectively be a head-chopper-ish element coming out of the Zero-G roll. It's going to look impressive diving straight down into that area almost completely dominated by track
javs
OMG, they are actually constructing the plane on the semi-monocoque principle! 'No sniggering at the back!' Or at least that is what it looks like, lol.

JackR
Quite strange that they haven't installed the inline twist track yet. There's obviously some logic behind the reason as to why, but judging from the views of the picture, that is going to be a very tight squeeze by the looks of things... Should be interesting to see that track piece be installed. I think they will put the helicopter in before they finish that final curve and a lot of the plane won't be constructed until they have got the cranes and other machinery out. tomglazed
I love that they are even continuing the destroyed church facade across the maintenance shed from the station. Seems undeniable that they are pulling out all stops right now

Sidders
We've listened to your feedback...for weekly updates on THE SWARM check out THE SWARM - Developers DiaryFrom Thorpe Park's official Facebook account. Weekly updates, you say? Yer pls. Mind you, no matter how impressive The Swarm is looking, I doubt we'll see an update like the one above every week. So yeah, y'know... pinch of salt and that.
