Benin
I think the experience of Rocky Express in the dark is the biggest loss to be quite frank... The ride closure would depend on what rides and their queues... I would imagine should rides have 2 hour queues at 9 then they might well be closed... 8 maybe, depends how the park feels... I doubt the park would want confusion between those doing the late night stuff with those leaving rides at 11/12 at night... As for the maze picture, it looks very Merliny in style... Like all their woodwork (assuming it's the Studios) looks so similar regardless of the park it's in and it doesn't look very realistic in the real life image (the filter actually does a fantastic job of making the wood look realistic)... Though of course, it might look actually half decent to look at properly... FrightNights04
Coaster
I really don't see the big deal. If you think it's going to "ruin the event", do us all a favour and stay and home. I don't need the extra queue! Alright, there's no need for that, I was just voicing an opinion What!?!?!? Isn't it obvious that I meant in the dark? It was a typo... Popular Post THORPE PARK
To clarify, we will not be closing our major thrill rides at 8 or even 9pm. All our most popular rides will stay open right through until 10pm. The only rides that will close earlier will be those that have little to no demand in the evening, and will close depending on demand on the day. swooddow
I was on park today and they had removed a part of the indoor section of the first drop on loggers leap , I can only prosume to use that wood , or part of the building for somthing else , maybe fright night related , but thats just guessing

I must say Thorpe you do love to drag these things out. I assume you know how long it takes for them to put a full fledged TV advert up then from shooting to post production to getting it on the screens? I was on park today and they had removed a part of the indoor section of the first drop on loggers leap , I can only prosume to use that wood , or part of the building for somthing else , maybe fright night related , but thats just guessing It's been gone all season... It was taken down for safety reasons, it would make no sense for Thorpe to reuse unsafe materials in a maze...

mrmatt
THORPE PARK, is there something about Fright Nights you aren't telling us Thats what I'm thinking... this also links with my previous post about the advert taking so long. Maybe they are building up for one final reveal! Watched Dead Silence the other day. Thought it was from Lionsgate but there was no mention of them during the opening credits, just universal! darkadder312
I was actually hoping there would be a Dead Silence maze as that doll absolutely scares me good film though
Altitude
^ I think for a Dead Silence maze to work, there has to be moments of complete silence, and obviously you won't always get that in a scare attraction. Although I would have loved to see one at Fright Night!
Inferno
THORPE PARK, is there something about Fright Nights you aren't telling us I have also been wondering about this... Especially after this little comment they made in response somebody writing the 4D cinema off... Also ScareTour were correct about everything except their Dead Silence prediction, so could this still be in the pipeline? I won't be disappointed if nothing more is revealed, but I have been wondering...
Cal
Isn't it obvious that I meant in the dark? It was a typo... Yeah I know that, I meant what as in why and how are we losing loggers in the dark?
Coaster
Yeah I know that, I meant what as in why and how are we losing loggers in the dark? Because during Fright Nights it will be closing at 5pm.
Glitch
To be honest maybe they just used dead silence doll as a picture to say were keeping something very secrete.
Dodge2002
Twisted Pictures created Dead silence, and Lionsgate are their distribution partner. TBWP also had nothing to with Lionsgate. All Lionsgate did was distribute the film on DVD. Rights to films' are a funny thing. Its anyone's guess who actually owns the IP itself really... swooddow
yer somthing is coming in the 4d theatre I recon , as I heard more noises today , while I was on park , we could be in for a finale suprise ! I have also been wondering about this... Especially after this little comment they made in response somebody writing the 4D cinema off...Also ScareTour were correct about everything except their Dead Silence prediction, so could this still be in the pipeline?I won't be disappointed if nothing more is revealed, but I have been wondering... Would make sense as some of the key moments in dead silence are held in a theatre , so would be a great setting for and attraction or experiance based on DS. Altitude
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7DsV6TNPlQ The trailer is here! Slightly disappointed but I wont let a trailer stop my excitement! ste193
JoshC.
Was expecting something different (like an introduction from the deranged film director or something), but it does the job. No where near as good as some of the previous Fright Nights trailers though, I'm afraid to say! FrightNights04 and ste193
swooddow
the trailers ok , seems to use just the old footage from the other mazes. still think the chainsaw video is the best they have ever done , but yer like JoshC said 'it does the job'. Coaster
I'm not sure why they have shown the roaming actors from last year - unless the costumes are being used in a maze (Asylum would be best!) Bit of a weird trailer really, it's quite short and I much preferred the old one. Still, it won't make a difference to the event

jjh123horry
I know weve not even had this year yet, but there is a promising look for this year maybe next year somewhat. 2 representatives from Thorpe attended this event. Ive watched the whole thing, and its really good. So possibly a ghost maze next year, or got ideas on how to do blair witch or maybe something to do with the theatre? Who knows but itll could be really promising https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIAE3ImjyDA&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Benin
Thorpe seemed to have uploaded a fan video instead of their one... How weird...

The tension was built up so well and really put people on edge, it would be great if Thorpe invested in something like this in the future
