  • Personally I think rush is too short, you only get about 3 full swings

Rush was being worked on today, it had no restraints fitted at the start of the day; but then by about 11am, 4 or 5 lap bars were fitted on swing A. The cable entrance covers on the towers were also not yet fitted and it looks like some of the metal from the crown piece isn't fitted either. Something also to note is that the restraints and headrests which were being fitted were NOT new ones, they were clearly old ones because they were faded with marks all over them still.

Rush should be back by next weekend (but don't take my word for it, we were expecting it back today just like SAW: Alive was expected and didn't happen). They've done a lot of maintenance on the swings themselves, and they we're still in the process of putting the whole ride back together yesterday. The restraints are most likely in good condition and will be cleaned up with a bit of desguard before the ride returns to operation :(

Still seems to be having a fair bit of trouble if I'm honest.

It sounds incredibly squeaky and noise (sometimes it sounded like a woman screaming...), and not all the lap bars are locking at the same time either, meaning they have to be 'manually locked' (don't know how to describe really; hope that makes sense). At least it's up and working, and getting a few decent high swings.

Am I right in saying it had troubles opening in 2008, and then was a bit off for a while before it's accident, the last time it has a major overhaul?

Squealing pistons is good! Basically, it means it's all shiney and new. Lap bars not locking isn't a major issue, just slows everything down, staff are the main problem there really. It has had a major refurb this year, so will be practically brand new mechanically speaking.

Great to hear it's performing well, finally!

It had a whole assortment of troubles until 2009 really, it was only then it really got reliable. Don't try and draw any conclusions from overhaul = accident.
