Sidders
Qveschan: Is the new theming part of the building of an actual hotel? The application seems to suggest this but the concept art lies.
JamminGamer
I really hope they actually brand it as the Thorpe 'Shark' hotel. I'm sorry I'm a sucker for puns XD It'll look good if it's anything like the concepts pluk and Sidders
Toby Tidal Wave
This is really good as now Thorpe are targeting families to the park! (y)
Benin
A wild logo appeared... Hooray for the park choosing the interesting concept... Matt 236, Inferno, MattyMoo and 1 other
MattyMoo
Blimey I hope it's as good as the concept art. Good stuff Thorpe!
JamminGamer
Yes! The puns are coming! I'm so happy they went with the name Thorpe Shark XD I wonder what it will look like in the end..... any ETA on completion currently?

Coaster
Weird choice of name IMO, but harmless. Whatever happened to "Waterfront Hotel?"
Benin
Weird choice of name IMO, but harmless. Whatever happened to "Waterfront Hotel?" Probs realised that it sounded too 'respectable' and 'serious' for such an awesome and cool park... Yo... JamminGamer
JoshC.
http://thorpepark.com/shark-hotel/ 'THORPE PARK Resort Live!' is going to be happening as well...

Benin
http://thorpepark.com/shark-hotel/ 'THORPE PARK Resort Live!' is going to be happening as well... Sounds like the old "Be Discovered" thingy... Did a quick price check for a weekend in August, 2 nights, 2 people, 2 day park ticket, comes out to £268 total... Decent enough value, the Ryanair of theme park hotels...
JoshC.
^That was my original thought and I was somewhat sceptical about it. However, it could be a continuation of the small performances that happened last year, where lesser-known artists / comedians / etc. are showcased as well. Or even a mix of that and Be Discovered. Could be quite nice!
jon81uk
Probs realised that it sounded too 'respectable' and 'serious' for such an awesome and cool park... Yo... I think when they finally build a permanant hotel that will be the waterfront hotel as it is planned for the permanant hotel to be on the carpark side of the lake, plus it won't be made out of shipping containers! EC!
I'm liking the mood lighting but it is essentially a bigger crash pad. Its definately centered around families as thats what all the pictures suggest, which seems great! Bite-sized rooms with double bed and two bunks En-suite rain shower wet rooms Flat screen in-room entertainment package Climate controlled air-conditioning Free Wifi Colourful mood lighting

ste193
Sharknado/Jaws/Place shark film here ARGH MY GOD! I just thought! Sharknado/Jaws themed rooms would be awesome! J.S217
JoshC.
Unusual question, but was there anything near / under the main entrance bridge over the weekend, possibly relating to the hotel? Because there certainly was today; almost looked like a line of shark fins (though that was likely my imagination get carried away)
jom222
The only thing I saw on Saturday was a new sign where the entrance to the CrashPad was. From what I could see there was still half of the CrashPad there.
JoshC.
Super cool image of the Shark Hotel: Alas, I couldn't resist.. Have to say, I'm surprised as how the new colour scheme and wavy top made it look a lot nicer! JoshC.
Naugteh me double posting (but this is important!) I've noticed that the section on the reverse side of the map says that the Shark Feature doesn't open until May! OldFarmerDean
theme park lover
Crash Pad was awful, Thorpe Shark Hotel seems to be the same thing with a new name and new colour. If you want to stay in a tiny shipping container room with the wind making the whole thing shake then stay there. Also massively overpriced, better off in travellodge! Mitchada04
What's this I see? Why it's the frame for the shark of course!
Flipper
Oh, that's where it's going? I thought it was going to be themed into the actual containers very quickly, you know, when the rest of it actually arrives.
