GladiatorFanKyle
Completely agree. From first glance, that thing looks like a DEATH CAMP! am I the only one who likes the shark hotel?! Its decent for an overnight stay and the beds are comfy and it does the job of putting you up for the night since you dont spend a lot of time at the hotel! Kerfuffle
Well, I must admit, it DOES look very nice on the inside - it's just from the outside, a huge pile of shipping containers with doors isn't very appealing...
Olistjj
Would why a ride workshop need extending? I'm not entirely sure, it might be because they want to add a second track into the workshop, Stealths got 3 however Stealth has 3 trains whereas Nemesis I think only has 2 so I dont know why they'd add another track unless they were planning on a 3rd train or just wanted the ability to be able to have both trains in the workshop at once, I'm not sure if the current one can fit both of them in. I dont even know if the ride can handle 3 trains... They might just want more room to work... I'm just purely speculating!
GladiatorFanKyle
Very true the outside is not perfect but the general public don't really care about the outside appearance they just want to have a comfy bed and a place to chill out once the rides has closed! pluk
Would why a ride workshop need extending? So they have enough room to work on the backwards seats of course... OldFarmerDean
Weatherspoon18
Just noticed (on the pizza hut extension docs) that the building is labeled as 'Sleepy Joes Rib Shack' - any ideas as to why?
Mark9
So they have enough room to work on the backwards seats of course... I was thinking zero train operation myself, perfect for increasing fastrack sales. pluk

JoshC.
Just noticed (on the pizza hut extension docs) that the building is labeled as 'Sleepy Joes Rib Shack' - any ideas as to why? Before it was Pizza Hut, it was an in house restaurant called Sleepy Joe's. They refer to quite a few buildings by their old names (Pirates 4D, X:\NWO, etc.)
J.S217
Although now it's going to become I think Pizza Pasta?
darkadder312
Can't wait for it to go to Pizza Pasta as we all get our Annual Pass Discounts. Just hope sometime soon KFC gets turned into Fried Chicken Co.
pluk
Although now it's going to become I think Pizza Pasta? Really? I thought Pizza Hut had some sort of crazy lease on it that Thorpe couldn't get out of?
Mitchada04
Depends when the lease ends. I know BK signed another 10 year agreement before Merlin came in but don't know about Pizza Hut or KFC other than I think their lease ends at the same time to which Merlin will most likely not offer them another one and make it in house. Fred
Thorpes always interesting how stuck they've been with food wise. Like RMC and Tussauds were like, screw you forward planning!!
Project LC
I hope it never becomes a pizza pasta place as they are always horrible. Pizza hut is far nicer as is buger king vs burger kitchen. Burger kitchen is one of the worst places ive eaten in my life. The longer the shops stay as brands the better. OldFarmerDean
I quite like burger kitchen although burger king is obviously better, and I will cry if they get rid of burger king as literally have like 3 oreo ice creams every time I go! Pizza hut gives bits of garlic bread, whereas pizza pasta don't, but it's all about annual pass discount! As for KFC its just too busy and has an awfully annoying limited menu and to say overly expensive as well!
Project LC
I'm fine seeing kfc go as a I really like the chicken places from merlin but I cant justify the annual pass discount to see pizza hut go. The fact pizza hut is getting extended is a bit of a concern but I don't see why Thorpe would care about expanding it if they were not going to benefit from it sometime soon. Matt 236
Someone I know who works quite high up in Pizza Hut, told me the Pizza Hut at Thorpe would be going after this season, so I'm absolutely certain we shall see an inhouse pizza pasta place there next year, plus the extensions for indoor eating also makes perfect sense too. Project LC
No matter how much I don't want to I think I have to agree with that. The day of nice pizza appears to becoming to and end. OldFarmerDean
Coaster
Not sure if I'm happy about Thorpe getting an in-house pizza brand or not. Annual Pass discount is good, but the quality at Towers was dire whereas Chessington's was good, so I'm not sure about it.
Mitchada04
Annual pass discount won't make it much cheaper as Pizza Pasta is £11.99 or something crazy now whereas pizza hut is only £9.99.
Fred
£10.95 at Towers
Coaster
£10.95 at Towers Ridiculous pricing for the quality you get! Project LC
holtjammy16
Ridiculous pricing for the quality you get! Especially when the pizza there seems to have a magic 'fill you up' ingredient that means you usually can't even eat the equivalent of a usual pizza hut medium size :'(
Altitude
Am I the only person who had a positive experience at the Alton Towers Pizza Place? I thought the staff were lovely and the pizza was actually really tasty considering how fast they had to be made! It was also kept really hygienic when I visited, so I can't really fault the place. Oh and compared to other pizza chains, the pizza wasn't overly salty or sugary either OldFarmerDean, EC! and Ryan
