Whatever
I thought that a replica of Clossie was built inn China, not Italy, am I wrong, it's called Tenth Ring or something.
JoshC.
There's Ten Inversion / Ten Ring Roller Coaster in China, which is an exact clone of Colossus. There's also Altair, at Cinecitta World in Italy, which is a newer version of Intamin's 10 inverting coaster. It's not an exact clone, but close enough. That one has Lao bar restraints. Altitude
Personally, not on behalf of of TPM, I don't like the speculation dressed as news style combined with the underlying 'we know something you don't know' tone. Clickbait. Not meant as a 'jibe or attack', just the reason I don't engage with TT any more. I completely agree. 100 percent. Also, the person responsible for 'Washing Machine' is no longer part of the team as of over two years ago, it was however partially right in that it pointed us in the direction of the inversion record. The layout was obviously missing inversions, it was when the silly "washing machine" idea came up that people began to realise the inversion record (in a completely incorrect way.) In short, I'm not sure what the fuss is about? Can't we just enjoy this exciting period of speculation without childish jibes and attacks on other websites/people? I honestly thought the team and members of Thorpe Park Mania were above that. Ah, insulting the members and team of TPM will definitely make us like South Parks and believe their "news" even more! It's not as if South Parks don't have squabbles. Rant over Rich, pluk and pognoi

pognoi
On a serious note isn't TT's stuff just a load of potential bollocks? I mean they're just going on rumours and assumptions, and they could be completely wrong, again, like with the smiler? Either way 100% Pinfari wooden zacspin behind asylum studio 13 fence 2017. They have a habit of saying 'sick, innit' all the time, or at least people are sick in them all the time (the ride that is, not the Chavs) on a serious note all the ones we have in the UK are ****. We will finally be getting a decent one sometime next year BUT I have no idea when that will be finished being refurbed but thats another story! Overall lets just wait until the park confirms news and if something comes from a reliable source then we will discuss it further!
lewumbrajumbos
I do believe Colossus is due to have it's music changed for next year? Is it just me who has heard of this or is just not true?
Project LC
The cant change the Colossus music, its the best sound track merlin have. Also refurb top spin referring to the movement of ripsaw? Cal
lewumbrajumbos
Well I agree it would be sad to see it go! A friend who works at Thorpe said he was in a staff meeting where they were told of some of the changes in 2015 and sent me a link with possibly the new soundtrack but I'm not 100% how reliable it all is!! I will try and find the link now
Project LC
I don't think a meeting about 2015 changes would feature talking about a change in music for Colossus.
lewumbrajumbos
Well here's the snippet that I got sent like I said don't take this as anything official [emoji6] it is from IMAscore though soo ... https://attachment.fbsbx.com/messaging_attachment.php?mid=mid.1405695494071%3Af785435e28e07ea109&aid=d83a606849349b555de9a456a66610c9&tid&uid=100003353231647&accid=100003353231647&ext=1413801499&hash=AQAmYWsuhep3WdfZYxombyjxSQhyvr7V2xLqofxGH5uR1A
Project LC
That link did work, if that is new the theme I will approve of it. As long as we get new trains with the new music I will be happy.
lewumbrajumbos
I don't think a meeting about 2015 changes would feature talking about a change in music for Colossus. other stuff was mentioned in the meeting like refurbs to Neptune's kingdom but I still have no clue if it's anything close to the truth of what's going on next year! Project LC
New trains to Colossus may even convince me to return while RnR is active. I have to say that music is lovely, I sort of hope it does become the new theme as that would change the entire mood of the area. Take a way from the menacing current vibe and make it more of a lost city feel with mystery.
lewumbrajumbos
New trains, new music and even a decent paint job would be a good investment it would just make the ride look fresher! I was uncertain on the idea of changing the music before I heard that snippet but am more accepting now [emoji12] I personally still prefer the old music though! pognoi

Project LC
Great I now have to travel to heide park. Oh well should be a fun trip. I feel music is over looked too much, good music can turn a good ride into a great one. Something I actually think Thorpe does well compared to most parks. pognoi
Really? I agree with you on that sometimes music is overlooked in parks but a lot of parks that have custom music (particularly in europe) have some of the finest soundtracks I listen to. Thorpes however are quite dull compared to the dramatic trailer music we get now from the likes of ima score and two steps, however it is still nice to have custom music in a park. Although the audio technician wants to change this, I believe he wants to change most/all sounds in the park excluding saw and swarm to pop music. J.S217
They just need to get the new trains from Intamin that they put on the Colossus V2 they built over in Italy (the name escapes me)... But, that would require Merlin investing in maintenance... I think the name you are looking for is Altair < like in Assassins Creed
JoshC.
Music and audio is something Thorpe have largely gotten right every time. Ignore the cheap pop music that was chucked onto rides near the entrance and the entrance itself, and Saw's perhaps slightly too well-fitting audio, and I think everything is spot on. IMA Score are great and would love to see them do something at Thorpe, but I imagine they're quite expensive to work in comparison. Given how well Thorpe usually are at making their own music, I'd much rather see IMA Score only used once or twice.
