June 6, 201510 yr comment_210731 Just out of curiousity, does anyone know why X wasn't affected by the restrictions on multi-vehicle rides, or, if it was, how did they put the new measures in place so fast vs. The Chessington rides? Also can anyone confirm whether or not the block breaks have been reactivated since the smiler incident?
June 6, 201510 yr comment_210732 As far as I know, for reasons unknown, it's been running 2 trains only all season, with the second not dispatching until the first has reached the exit station. Because of this, it hasn't been affected by the block break restrictions as far as I know.
June 6, 201510 yr comment_210733 I'm unsure it totally depends on what the changes are going to be: in the past in the event of a shut down was an automatic evac on x, I dunno if this has since changed however other multi block rides have been able to be restarted. This could be why x is unafected but just speculation
June 7, 201510 yr comment_210737 Cynical side of me says it's because the ride is in the dark, GP can't see the other car, so no need to make a big deal over it, unlike the other rides which are clearly visible from off ride as multi-car rides. But that's jus the cynical side of me, I doubt that's the reason lol.
July 3, 201510 yr comment_212441 X was (I think) back on full capacity today! It was definitely shifting the queue much faster than I have seen it do all season up to now.

July 18, 201510 yr comment_213233 Is there any old videos of the ride when it first opened? According to Wikipedia there was a maze section before the ride that I was hoping to see but YouTube has turned up no results.

According to Wikipedia there was a maze section before the ride that I was hoping to see but YouTube has turned up no results. It wasn't a maze section really - it was just a longer queue line very similar to the current queue line. I walked through it once or twice but it wasn't anything special; it had a spinning tunnel but that was about it. However, back when Fright Nights first started, the queue line extensions was turned into a maze (Freakshow 3D), and since then that space has been used for other mazes too (Hellgate, Passing, Cabin in the Woods). On a different note, X's music was very quiet today. Hope it gets sorted soon!
July 19, 201510 yr comment_213269 Music has definitely been quiet. On another note, I'm sure more lights have been added to the queue plus I'm sure there used to be more ceiling in the slope cattle pen area of the queue before.
July 19, 201510 yr comment_213288 MUSIC WAS QUIET In case you missed every post above me saying the same thing
July 19, 201510 yr comment_213290 X was actually really enjoyable yesterday! Hadn't been on it since 2013, and I noticed new lighting effects and being on the front row with Malcolm, got rather disorientated as I thought it was the end but dived down again! It was so fun
July 19, 201510 yr comment_213295 I heard the X music on Friday and I am as deaf as a post! It may have been quieter than usual but I was busy sweating like a pig!
July 31, 201510 yr comment_213666 As of lately, when I have been held on the final brake run before unloading, I have noticed a load of smoke around the floor towards the centre, could just be a smoke machine but it might have some relevance to the ride itself as the brakes of the block before that seem to be really sharp and quite squeaky at times, and seem as if they will need to be replaced soon as it makes that area considerably rougher then the rest of the ride, but this is merlin were talking about so unless it becomes properly dangerous nothing will be done...

They are sharp because they were replaced over closed season.
August 1, 201510 yr comment_213689 Anyone know if X has been on 3 trains recently? On Wednesday it was back on 2 meaning it had one of the highest queues on park, and reached 50 minutes. Shame to see it on reduced capacity most of this season.
August 1, 201510 yr comment_213691 I went on Tuesday and it was definitely on 3 and the queue was max 15 minutes.
