March 12, 20178 yr comment_248016 I am amazed they allowed it to open in that state. How any engineer could have signed that off is a complete mystery.
March 12, 20178 yr comment_248017 Christ.. Calling that cycle pathetic is generous.. The ride barely opens.. And when it does, we get this.. I think its time Merlin put Rameses to rest, even Ripsaw didn't run THAT badly..

March 13, 20178 yr comment_248049 Yep it doesn't even go upside down during that "cycle" - anyone know if the operators offered the 2nd go straight afterwards? I'd want to get off after that, that is, provided I could still hear and my eardrums hadn't perished from that god awful noise. RIP Ramases Revenge What a difference 4 years makes...
March 13, 20178 yr comment_248054 Such a shame to see the park's premier thrill machine struggling so badly, especially the start of the season which is concerning to say the least. I would love love to see the ride extensively refurbished. Or failing that, replaced with a Talocan style Top Spin.
March 13, 20178 yr comment_248056 It never seems to get much of a queue compared to the other rides anyway. Just get rid of it and replace it with something completely different. That thing is beyond redemption and isn't worth the time or money. I'm sure the people at MMM can come up with another disappointing attraction to replace it.
March 13, 20178 yr comment_248057 Was discussing this the other day - I'd hope it gets replaced with a new Top Spin as that area would seem so odd without it as it's the focal point being lower down... however, I can't see them doing that, personally. I can't imagine CWOA without Ramases, sad times! She really doesn't sound healthy though, would be interested to see other clips from the day. Note as well in the clip that the fountains aren't operating - wonder if that's because the weather is too cold or they just don't want to shoot water in to the ageing ride anymore.
March 13, 20178 yr comment_248058 It was obviously experiencing technical problems during the video. I saw it running Saturday and it was flipping as normal.. lets not get too carried away!
March 13, 20178 yr comment_248059 I got on it Sunday morning no issue, was only running the flipping program. It was down all afternoon though.
March 13, 20178 yr comment_248068 ^ That clarifies the disagreement between ChessingtonSam and I It was flipping fine when I saw it going Sunday, and wasn't as noisy as in the video.

Either that or left to rot with a wooden fence in front of it. Sorry for late reply on this one, how about a reverse basketball type game the pit would work well for throwing a ball into a pit.

March 19, 20178 yr comment_248257 Assume Ramases is all back to normal now - currently has a 30 minute queue
March 29, 20178 yr comment_248636 Rameses broke down twice in thirty minutes on Saturday. I reckon it's on its way out. https://youtu.be/X0hFPhsTn08
March 29, 20178 yr comment_248644 That, or maybe they'll do some kind of maintenance to keep it alive just a little longer. This is Merlin though so I wouldn't count on that.
March 30, 20178 yr comment_248651 That doesn't look good - is it E-Stopping at the same point each time?
March 30, 20178 yr comment_248653 Remember rameses often e-stops if there is a larger guest on the ride if the restraints move slightly which is a fail safe system , although an annoying one
