January 21, 20169 yr comment_226822 Trains for this are arriving! And with Montu and surrounding area closed until 4th February they're really speeding along. Lots of photos at http://www.wildgravitytravels.com/cobras-curse-construction-update-1-busch-gardens-tampa/ showing the station, transfers and maintenance etc. Most of the track is up, just the vertical lift and dive under the train tracks as the finale to go.
February 16, 20169 yr comment_228017 Apparently the trains for this get revealed soon, I've heard talk of tomorrow. They wanted to do Mako first for some reason. One of the pulleys for the tower with the logo in it which is a cool touch. Egypt reopens a few days as well. Montu has had a little repaint apparently the lift is now up. Snake structure is going up too Bioreconstruct on twitter. Busch also posted this on their FB. True love right there
May 4, 20169 yr comment_234028 So, apparently Montu is running like it used to when brand new, with no trims and the MCBR not slowing down trains. Just need Kumba to do the same, keep them that way and you've got an amazing pair! As for Cobra's Curse, it began testing same time as Mako, I wouldn't be surprised if it opens at a similar time early to mid June.
May 12, 20169 yr comment_234566 Full POV baby! They're doing ERT for this for annual pass holders every weekend in June, so it should be open by then (apparently they want it open for Memorial Weekend)
May 12, 20169 yr comment_234575 The spinning section looks fun, but the start really doesn't look great. I think it would have been better if it span the whole way through as the block sections where the car changes its orientation make this ride too stop-starty. It looks fun but just a bit weird!
July 30, 20169 yr comment_239214 Cobra's Curse I think is a great addition to the park and is a fun little coaster, the elevator lift, first drop and the banked curve were my favourite elements. However, I do prefer a Maurer
August 6, 20169 yr comment_239564 So excited for this next year, but also so TERRIFIED of Falcon's Fury, gonna be a good day out

November 5, 20177 yr comment_253821 Just wanted to check back in and share a trip report about this park. Most of it is covered in the video below, but key points. - Cobra's Curse was pretty cool, not the best coaster I've been on but certainly good fun and the queue system had a few cool features to keep you occupied. - We didn't get to ride Falcon's Fury due to high winds but all that means is I have to go back some day and do that. It is enormous but looks great fun. - If I had to pick, Montu might be my favourite. Cheetah Hunt was fun but my least favourite due to the hour long queue and very short ride. Everything else was walk on for us! - Sheikra. Do it.
March 2, 20196 yr comment_263233 *blows dust off* So Tigris (Premier Sky Rocket) opens this year, and the park took the opportunity when promoting it last night to announce the official death of Gwazi and become the biggest RMC ever... Just bumping this topic in preparation for the construction...
March 2, 20196 yr comment_263235 Much excite. One thing which interests me is that this is said to be North America's tallest hybrid (so taller than Steel Vengeance at 205ft), but not the world. Presently, the tallest non-American hybrid is Wildfire (180ft) though Zadra will overtake that (200ft). So presumably Zadra's current slated height is wrong, but I guess there could be a surprise RMC popping up in the world next year still?
March 2, 20196 yr comment_263236 Nice to see Seaworld working with RMC. Knowing RMC we will probably have a smaller one pop up at a Six Flags Park next year alongside Zadra and this. I think this could be Steel Vengeance tier with a good layout, I really need to get my lazy a** down to Florida.
March 2, 20196 yr comment_263239 **Adds to the book of reasons to go to Orlando** Honestly looks sublime and should hopefully prove an immense coaster and addiction to the park. Whether this will be Steel Vengeance level, remains unknown currently but should still be great regardless. I never rode Gwazi, so cannot comment on that regard.
March 4, 20196 yr comment_263277 The more I think about RMC, the more I really like them. Whether its original creations or reimagining older woodies, they have a real knack for quality. I'm really starting to regret Heide not RMC'ing Colossos.
September 12, 20195 yr comment_266488 Official video.. -206ft tall (second tallest in world) -91 degree drop -76mph (fastest in world)
November 28, 20195 yr comment_267678 Update! The trains were revealed at IAAPA last week. Personally I think they look dreadful. And some construction from the past couple of weeks.. And it has been recently topped off:
November 28, 20195 yr comment_267681 Trains kinda remind me of like a custom made vehicle in a racing game. Could definitely look better. Still excited to see the finished result. Should be a killer ride for this park regardless of it rates among other RMCs.
November 28, 20195 yr comment_267687 Yeah easily a good #1 coaster for the park as currently their lineup doesn't really have a clear number one coaster. I think this will be more like Zadra though and less like Steel Vengeance (based on speed more than airtime).
