January 11, 201411 yr comment_174861 I remember when I was a child and Park Life was on tv and I'd get all happy because it was a THEME PARK!
January 11, 201411 yr comment_174862 Aha Park Life! YES! Main thing I remember about that programme was how miserable all the staff were and how bleak they made it look! I remember when Fireman Sam was the best damn thing in TV. Remember the one where Norman went fishing and pulled the plug out the bottom of the lake? Absolutely brilliant.
January 11, 201411 yr comment_174864 I remember when I had no idea this topic existed. Of course that was only 2 minutes ago.
January 11, 201411 yr comment_174866 I remember "Switching to Manual Control..." (Who else knows what I'm talking about? )
January 11, 201411 yr comment_174868 I remember when Legoland wasn't so commercialised during its early years where although fewer rides, there was much more character in the park including the technic robot band in My Town (now Lego City), more animatronic scenes on Pirate Falls the original waterworks (before the ones removed for the current ones) and also the mystic Explorers Institute and the atmospheric Magic Theatre. All of these now removed, the latter two at least for worse.
January 13, 201411 yr comment_174954 I remember visiting thorpe on it's closing day of 2005 and Ranger County was essentially flooded. I got soaked.
January 15, 201411 yr comment_175039 When polo mints were 10p - I used to eat a pack on the way to school and another one the way home - no wonder I have so many fillings And theme park related.....when I first went on Dragon Falls (Dragon River back then) and was so scared that I seriously contemplated getting out at the top then realised that perhaps it wasnt the best idea
January 15, 201411 yr comment_175040 I remember the Hic Cups, the Cola Coaster and Mama Melons...and the wonderful smells! Oh and the strobes. THE STROBES DAMMIT! Y'all best know what I'm on about!
January 15, 201411 yr comment_175044 What was that show they had to do puzzles to run away from dath vader :|I remember that it used to scare me =] Answering a 6 year old question that never got answered, did you mean Knightmare? I loved that! I remember when having a bag of crisps was an actual treat on a Saturday night, picking your flavour was a big important decision. Me, Mum and Sister on the sofa squabbling about which channel to watch, Jeremy Beadle, The A Team, some crappy game show, Paul Daniels and then Carney and Lacey once my sister had gone to bed. Then Sunday afternoons round my Grans house, endless sunny afternoons in the garden, called in for ham sandwiches or cheese on toast on my special plate with Bullseye on the tele. Happy carefree times.
January 15, 201411 yr comment_175063 I remember absolutely loving Mr Blobby, and going beserk whenever I heard the song.
February 10, 201411 yr comment_176233 I remember when there was a McDonalds at Alton Towers, with the car through the front of the roof. And when Pizza Hut/KFC that used to be in X-sector did kentucky fried chips. Oh those were the days.
