Benin
Thought it would probably be something like that..Would've thought they'd always need to have someone trained 'on duty' if you will though, as that 'just in case'?Bugger knows, it's Thorpe, couldn't give two hoots how they run it
Laelda_95
That would be such a good job though. Imagine the job title
Laelda_95
I try my best to remember that the staff can't predict the future and tell me when a ride will open, so I usually don't ask. I bet the amount of people asking them constantly hacks them off though.
Ricky
Comes with the job, if your not up to the challenge Rides dept. isn't the right choice.
Fred
Yeh I use that one, but then you get the ''Will it be open today?'' questionThe thing which I mentioned before, just wards that off.. at least it does for myself

Fred
It's going along the lines of making all interesting and relatively well selling lines the same for all major rides. It's good, nice to see loads and loads of merchandise now. JoshC.
I really should learn to read all topics before I post stuff...I posted this in the merchandise topic half an hour after Ricky put it in here...
Tom
Not too special considering Oblivion had condoms sold at one point. :)Very clear who Thorpe's target audience are from that tbh.
treeis
Stealth condom - "Start to finish in 13 seconds" ....not exactly catchy
Benin
Yeah, I'm gonna pay £2 for a normal Durex just because I'm cool...Oh wait... (This isn't just for Thorpe here, Towers' ones as well... Surely this would be high up on the "How to make girls/guys go away in 5 seconds" list?)
Single Rider Joe
Heya guys! This is my first official post! I like Stealth because its one of my favourite rides at Thorpe Park! Its great when it launches and gives you a tickling feeling in your belly! However I saw some of the paint work was slightly faded away on the single rider queue the other day which I was not very happy about and have already written a letter to Merlin about it! Because I use the single rider queue all the time I get on lots and lots of times! I do love being a single rider!!!! =] Anyway Hey! Nice to meet you all! Has anyone heard of RollerCoatser Philosophy by the way?
Dan
Seen a dead seagull in the safety net on stealth on Monday messy site feathers every where I bet that would kill someone you were sitting front row

They have donee it so the smoke gets dragged halfway down the launch track by the train

Geo
Although Stealth was an accident, because Alton Towers didn't know there own height limit.. Thought I'd throw that in Edited September 8, 2011 by Neilfever Spelling and grammar.
Benin
I highly doubt Towers didn't know their own height limits...It was most likely a bulk order, like with the spinners and the recent B&M boom...
Mark9
Although stealth was an accudent because Alton towers don't know there own hight limits...... Thought I'd throw that in I''ve re-read this a few times and I'm still not 100% what you're saying. Stealth was an accident because Alton Towers didn't know their own height limits. No Stealth was planned first, was always going to be a high and fast accelerator rollercoaster. We saw the idea of it first in 2003 in the parks Mid term development plan. Rita was almost an after thought at the park. Lazily designed, lazily themed and Alton's worst coaster by far. RobD
Although Stealth was an accident, because Alton Towers didn't know there own height limit.. Thought I'd throw that in OMG YEH, SO IZ NUMESIS INFORNO COZ ALTON HAD SUM XTRA TRACK, SO FORP WAS LIKE YEH NUVA RIDE.Seriously though, do you honestly think a theme park would invest £12 million in a ride, only to start building it and think, oh damn, didn't realise 205ft was higher than our tree line.... better donate this one to the rollercoaster charity shop.Just, no. Cornflakes, Coaster XTREME, Drawin and 1 other
