Where is the best place to stay near to Thorpe?

I have my hotel information ready for when I say at the shark hotel next month. do I need to print off the ticket and information or can I just get it up on my phone and show that to the reception?? (I wont need my ticket to get in as I have my annual pass I just need the information like booking ref etc)

Hi I've been thinking about getting a Thorpe Park or Merlin pass as I'am often traveling near the area with work and have a few hours to kill by myself, so I could pop in there for a bit. I was just wondering how the passes work? are you given a card with a barcode on it that you scan on the way in or do you have to get free tickets when you turn up? Also how does the car parking work with the annual pass do you get any sort of discount? Thanks

Ok guys I am getting an annual pass for next season and was wondering how it works! Do you just go straight up to the barriers(thorpe park,alton towers, chessington) and scan your annual pass or do you need to buy tickets? This would be extremely useful as I can find out if I need to arrive early on peak days! Thanks guys

Just wondering how many times you've been Thorpe Park this year so far... and your favourite ride! I've been 8 times since May been trying to go at least once/twice a month as its "me" time since having a baby last year, and being back to work and my daughter in nursery I take the opportunity to book a day's holiday and leave my daughter at nursery and then come to Thorpe Park for the day! Its my hobby I guess ha ha ha ! I decided I should really get an AP (as I was finding it difficult to find the 2 for 1 all the time!)so I did with my 18,000 nectar points I'd had saved so am going even more since having this last month! Hi everyone, I’m going to thorpe on Tuesday and since my last visit to the park I’ve been in hospital and am now on medication for the rest of life. My doctor says that standing in a queue for a prolonged period of time wouldn’t be good for me as it would cause me extreme fatigue and other side effects. How do I apply for a ride access pass so I can queue virtually somewhere else where I can sit down? Do I need to apply for RAP every time I go to the park or is there some way I can get something that allows me to have it every time I visit? Thanks for the help in advance!

This may be pointless to some, however in the past few days I have purchased and received my McLaren t-shirts for the 2012 F1 season, and when I got the shirts I looked at them and felt the shirts (with little tweaks) would really suit Thorpe Park staff, is not all the Merlin Theme parks! If you look at the shirt you can see its 100% polyester, so it’s comfortable and cool (summer obliviously) I was thinking that the Wight shirt would be perfect for ride staff and general staff. Hi, I haven't posted before on TP Mania - however have hovered on here for a while. I wonder if anyone can shed some light on the official Thorpe Park application for iOS, which disappeared a year or two ago. I know the application was very poorly made and could have been better, but the live tracking times of the rides were useful enough to use whilst at Thorpe Park. I know Merlin have released two applications in recent years, the first being in 2010 and the second a 'revamped' app in 2012. Guys I know barely anyone will know this if anyone.... I want to know: If it is returning in 2013, if you don't know how likely is it? What dates will it be will it be roughly a week like last year? How good was it last year and what were the events like(I've never been to sunscream before ) How busy is it, what are the queues like? I have very long, lucious hair that is approximately 8 ft long. I am wondering if this will be an issue when riding? My height is 5ft 5. So my hair will be trailingbehind me. I usually wear it in a plaitt witAny advice would be helpfuly. My hair will be even longer once spring comes around and I will attend thorpe park for the firs ttime.

HiI really want to apply to Thorpe Park, and I notice that applications are currently open. I am 15 at the moment although I will be 16 in June. Am I allowed to apply now and then if I get an interview would I be permitted to specify that I'd be able to work part-time during the summer period (I'll be 16 then)?

Was anyone else held up by Liam and his "chums" on opening day? Although there were no queues for anything, the only waiting around was when him and his mates wanted to ride alone and stop the ride a few times to go maybe twice in a row... The park was so empty he basically had free reign with no hassle from any fans! although towards the afternoon people realised he was there and he was getting hounded a bit. It just seemed that every bloody ride we went on, he had already got there first holding up the ride for 15/20 mins! All in all had a great day though, never seen Thorpe so empty! went on everything far too many times!

Does anybody know the lift hill speeds of Colossus, Inferno, SAW & X? And the water rides too?It's a bit of a silly and pointless question I know, but stuff like this fascinates me
