It would be interesting to know actually how much it costs to rent out

I don't know this but I did hear a lot of people saying £1000/ride/hour on Facebook, and thinking about it, it sounds about right if you factor in all the elements of operating the rides (and obviously Merlin will want to profit) :)

I seem to remember reading the figure £20k to hire Thorpe exclusively for corporate events, but don't know how long that related to (morning/afternoon/evening or all day).

John Lewis used to/still do hire out the park for about 4-5 hours in the evening once a year

Stormzy isn't paying to rent out the park. This just a great Thorpe park PR/ Marketing stunt as it's a win-win for the park.

'Street food corner' has opened up over the past couple of days, just in front where Crust was...

The cart serves some (fancy-ish) beer and cider, and some pub snacks.  The huts serve Aussie steak burgers, noodles (with a variety of sauces and flavours), and some chips, again with a variety of sauces to choose from.  There's also a picnic area behind the huts.

It should be said that these are premium in price - £6 for steak burger, ~£4 for noodles and £3 for a portion of chips I believe - but this is a reflection of the quality of food.  A nice thing for the park to be trialing in my opinion!

People love that kind of stuff, its definitely in vogue at the moment. Good of thorpe to break away from traditional places to eat. Those cabins could do with a bit of touch up though..

They're now also serving sirloin steak (cooked to order) and Bratwurst hot dogs!

Did look very nice when I looked there the other day and definitely a hit. I would've eaten there too (if I'd had the budget).

Out of interest, has Crust shut down this year as I don't think it's been open at all this year. I know the noodle place and Ice cream shop in Canada creek/Old Townhave shut down.
