They've obviously put alot of effort into the lighting effects in the ride, I thought they were very good and with the building full of smoke the lasers are pretty decent!

Do the trains still stop on every brake section? If so does it still shuffle around on one of them, like it used to..?

The music is the sound track of the opera 'Carmen' played by a live symphony orchestra. Moving stuff.

Speakers are (I assume) standard Bose or similar branded speakers which are all mounted on a large central cylinder along with the majority of the new lights.

Noise level is loud enough but is considerably quiter than any actual club or rave.

Does the queue happen indoors again now, or is it still outdoors and then 10 minute walk to get to the baggage room?

Due to Fire Safety restricitons and similar, you still have to queue outside and then queue from the ramp upwards bit just before the baggage drop off point.

Ahh, shame, but oh well. "Da rules tiz da rules" as the yout' say (said no one, ever)...

Thorpe have just left the signage. Leftovers can also be spotted on the height measurement sign.

New signage hasnt arrived yet as far as I know!

I hate people who break park rules, particularly those who'll actually make money out of it (from eventual adverts showing on their videos).

Anyway, that aside.. same music in queueline to ride was that? With dead patches still? Wow. I totally won't get bored of that.

It looks pretty dull to me, I will be waiting till the hype dies down and there are 0 min queues again:

Thorpe have written a description about X which it is not, you are meant to travel through tunnels of colour changing light but instead all you do is go around the track with a few lights flashing around. This is NOT what I was expecting and seems like a total let down. I will ride it but I have a big feeling that backwards was so much better. I don't see why thorpe could have not kept if backwards and added lights, that way it would be a good experience with cool lights, but this experience is nothing at all special. I have a feeling people will ride it once, get bored and then the queues will be back to what they used to be!

I enjoyed it but each to their own.

I thought you would actually be going through dark tunnels on part of the ride not just open with some new lights.

I'll wait till I ride it to decide and it seems like a definite improvement to me, but at all looks all a bit light, like the whole space is too lit up. It is probably easier for instillation and maintenance to have a central light stack, but I would have much preferred it to be sectioned or localised lighting in some way.

Anything is better than the pitch black setting that wasn't really pitch black.

However whether the ride going forward is an improvement remains to be seen.

I'm not really surprised that X isn't a totally different rude now. Anyone that thought it would transform the ride experience that much really had too high expectations.

I think it looks OK, whether I like it or not in July is another question, but I'm sure with the dazzling light display and music, the younger kids will love which I think was the main goal for Thorpe.

It really is a lot better than it was in the previous few seasons.
