coastercameron98
Nope but the sign has been put back up, water dummies removed from what I could see. It looks as if its ready to go for tomorrow to me! Cal
Cal
Nope but the sign has been put back up, water dummies removed from what I could see. It looks as if its ready to go for tomorrow to me! Was it testing today as well?
coastercameron98
Yeah it did a couple of full speed tests and then at points throughout the day it raised, began spinning but stopped on an angle. Towards the end of the day they raised it with the caps off of the water dummies, and rotated it to get rid of the water in them. Pavements outside the ride were cleaned and jet washed as well
Thorpelover
I reckon it won't be open tomorrow. Reason being after seeing it today with 3 enginerners at one time. I always thought that if they are still working on it there are problems
InfernoMartin
I reckon it won't be open tomorrow. Reason being after seeing it today with 3 enginerners at one time. I always thought that if they are still working on it there are problems I believe by the looks of things yesterday that they were finishing off the E Stop tests. The way it was stopping at funny angles and then after a while rotating itself back and lowering today seems like they are just running final checks, for the possible opening today! Whatever
*crosses fingers* Please be tomorrow. I'm going then. But going back to an earlier post, why did they empty the water out of the dummies while it was testing?Surely it would have splashed people walking past/ on Colossus? Cal
Last year Slammer closed everyday around 2 for checks, so it's likely that the second shutdown was just because they were doing checks.
pognoi
Did it just before 3. its great to see it going again! as for the breakdowns, it may well be the half day engineering checks they did last season throughout the day repeated this year.
