January 5, 201114 yr comment_106181 quantum doesnt make me sick as such but when u have long legs its really hard because you try and find a place for your feet then as it jolts my ankles smash against the metal bars (try and picture this aswell as you can :L) and yh I think the ride itself is too small everything is squished together
April 1, 201114 yr comment_112288 Quantam is in that awkward area between "fun" and "thrill". It's to intense chill with X, Tidal Wave or Logger's Leap, but it's not thrilling enough for nemmie, SAW or Stealth :/
April 18, 201114 yr comment_113707 Quantum was extremely jolty at two points (every time it reached the same points). Any one else noticed this recently?
April 18, 201114 yr comment_113735 I used to enjoy this ride. Now it makes me wish I never went near thorpe park.I presume its rougher than it used to be? My 13yr old self loved it.
April 19, 201114 yr comment_113741 I thought it was jolty all my life... just me?I've thought has always been jolty too for ages
November 12, 201311 yr comment_171984 Quick Question, Does anyone know why the staff on Quantum close one of the rows off in the centre on each ride cycle?
November 12, 201311 yr comment_171985 It could be so staff could walk through maybe or it simply doesn't work, not too sure though but I've noticed this too.
November 12, 201311 yr comment_171986 Might be something to do with weight, if it gets to heavy then maybe it wont make it over the top? Just a guess
November 12, 201311 yr comment_171987 I do remember actually during my last ride on Quantum that we got stuck directly on that top part of the ride and waited there a good few moments until it started lowering itself to sitting position. It was very strange and I though it had broken down at one point (maybe it did). No idea what happened.
November 12, 201311 yr comment_171991 Is it odd that I think this is the best flat after detonator? It does seem strange with there being Topscans and Sky Swats etc. but if anything I agree with you on that one
November 13, 201311 yr comment_171992 Probably helps that most of the other flats at the park are pretty dire... That said, Samurai and Rush are hindered by only rarely having decent cycles...
March 27, 201411 yr comment_179429 Quantum yesterday was mental. It went normally one way then tried to go the other way but couldn't make it over (watching the go before us it never did make it over that way), went the first way a couple of times again then tried the opposite way a second time, just creeping over. It celebrated that victory to itself by absolutely flying in that direction for about 6 over the tops getting faster and faster, it was crazy and I loved it. Never had anything like it on there before.
March 27, 201411 yr comment_179431 It took me ages before I got the guts to go on Quantum (never really liked the idea of magic carpet rides) but my first few rides on it were pretty tame. That said, on the AP day I manage to puke after riding it - not sure whether it was the cycle it ran or the fact that I had just recently had a major head bashing from Colossus and Saw. The week after I went on and it was on a naff cycle - a couple of kids asked the ride assistant if he could make it go fast as possible and the guy replied that it only has one setting
March 27, 201411 yr comment_179444 I went on quantum today and it seemed really quite fast haha! Really good ride (although there was some guy and he was screaming loudly and it was so annoying -.-) here's a video I filmed of it!
March 27, 201411 yr comment_179447 Quantum on the whole has been notably better this year than usual, however one thing I have noticed is every ride I've had this year so far has been pretty damn good; but also they've always had the ride with two attendants, meaning they're filling every row on the ride and not leaving one empty. I know it might sound daft, but by having more weight (and balanced weight at that) I believe does help Quantum; as I still vow the best ride we've had this year was on Annual Pass day (I think it was) when the ride was the best part of full (four in every row, more or less) and it flew.
April 16, 201411 yr comment_181078 the 2 rows in the middle that are normally never used were actually being used today!
June 2, 201411 yr comment_184586 Even though Slammer is back open, we still haven't had every ride open this season yet this season seeing as Quantum has been down the last 2 days now. Anyone know what's going on?

Anyone know what's going on? No idea whats going on with it but they expect it to be fixed soon as they keep allocating full staff towards it, which results in 3 people standing at the entrance saying its closed.

Was their any enjineers working on the ride or is it like they are waiting for a part? Every time I've been this year there has only been 2 staff working on Quantum, resulting in the operator having to come out of the console and help out.
September 16, 201410 yr comment_192048 Has anyone noticed that quantum structure wobbles a bit during the cycle? Is that to help with the forces of the ride?
September 16, 201410 yr comment_192050 well better than being rigid I guess as things tend to break/fracture under pressure...
May 13, 20187 yr comment_258026 Wow 3 years since a post! Quantums opened for the 2018 season now - all be it a little later than the rest!
