MattyMoo
I second the above - Smiler logo in place of Fanta logo, good call!
MattyMoo
Ooh is that the airgates in the station? I'm sure it's already been pointed out somewhere, but yay if they are yellow! It'll look just like the game!
Ricky
In the third photo it looks to me as though Oblivion has been running due to the wheel marks on the track! Hopefully it will be open on 16th March
Benin
Offt Seriously, that's a damn fine tangle of track... HYPE TRAIN!
Whiteknuckle
Just a quick question. On the game, what do you have to scan to unlock the secret bits? Everything else on my game is upgraded.
Stokesyboy
I think that there will be some QR codes around the ride station by the sounds of it!
- Michael -
It sounds like you have to visit the park to unlock special things for the game. That twisted metal is looking insane! The black and yellow colour scheme will look great as well. Whiteknuckle
Mark9
Oblivion looks so sexy. Mer, Liam T and Tom
Mer
It sure does! You can see it shining in one photo, ooft! Getting so excited about this now, can't wait to see the station too! I wonder if it will be like the game and have that clinical look to it
Liam T
Certainly going to hard not to look down with that beauty close by! (Though The Smiler doesn't get into Oblivion's area as much as I thought it would.) Oblivion looks beautiful, Black is the new Black! Benin
Just a point about the fickleness of enthusiasts regarding Oblivion... "Waahhhh Merlin are building ANOTHER Black ride!!!" "YAY Merlin are repainting Oblivion Black!" Just a thought Adam P, mah boi, Bubbles1 and 2 others
Jammy3112
I think X-Sector requires the track to be black! I don't think any other colour would work to be honest!
Ricky
Really? I think luminous pink would go down a treat
Bubbles1
Can it have glitter too? That way we're going to make x sector ZAZZY!!!!
JoshC.
Whilst we're at in, why not get the X Factor to sponsor the whole of X Sector? We can then give The Lord of Darkness and Dr Kelman detailed backstories as to how their whole lives have been difficult and they have now finally found a release to make them happy. pluk and MattyMoo
Bubbles1
Ok, The Lord of darkness's entire extended family was killed in a horrifying accident involving an overweight elephant and the cast of glee. Now in their memory, he'll sing his heart out! I can see it catching on
Ricky
Bit of a personality clash, one wants you to be miserable and have dreams of falling whilst the other wants you to have a horrific smile on your face. World War 3 is imminent
RideAddict
The trouble is now that Oblivion is black, so is every other ride in X Sector! Dull attack.
Benin
Enterprise is silver and Submission is blue... Bubbles1, Ricky, Ryan and 1 other
RideAddict
Not all over. Submission is black and blue with the silver bits at the top. And Enterprise is black. Or has that been repainted different colour when it was taken away this closed season?

RideAddict
OK - but IMO X Sector is still one of the "darkest" areas in the park. The surrounding trees have always made it feel such a small, crammed area. I don't suppose they can remove some of these because it's right by the road? It would open the area up nicely. Oblivion can be heard from the Chained Oak B&B, and Enterprise can be seen slightly through the trees if you're walking along the road, and you can hear it humming away slightly too. I wonder how far the Smiler noises will travel?
MikeC
^One of the things I love the most about AT is the vast woodland which bounds much of the park. I can't see AT removing these trees any time soon, as they obscure the rides from visible areas. I should also imagine the trees help with the noise to some extent. I love how Oblivion can not only be heard, but felt when visiting the Chained Oak tree itself.

MikeC
Right, but I'm pretty sure Horseshoe Wood was there long before Oblivion, so...
