I've found some pictures on my laptop I took a while back while the groundworks were taking place for the swarm, here they are. They aren't great but I thought I'd upload them anyway

Does anyone know yet whether there will be 'The Swarm' Annual pass preview event for 2012?I would hope if they do, they would not let in Annual Pass 'Friends', It was not fair last year, but I would hope they do, do the event again because it is great to get a first look at the ride!Another thing; why do American parks usually have big opening ceremonies sometimes including large shows, fireworks or a speech by the creative designers for their latest attraction, big or small whereas in the UK, They just open the gates on the 14th march and straight on the ride? It’s a shame because both Saw and now possibly Swarm will miss out on a big opportunity to open with a bang!

Here you can post all your theories and ideas about Project LC12. I'll start off with my first idea.I think this roller coaster will be a new concept ride, probably manufactured by B&M. It will be situated on one of the new islands behind Stealth, and will be based around some sort of nuclear explosion or disaster. Picture this:You enter the queueline through a big doorway in a huge power station-like building. The queue would then weave through the building, with riders travelling along long creepy corridors. The boarding station is like the boiler or control room, where the riders board the train. The train would then travel through a short tour of the building, eve…

Something new is coming to Thorpe Park in 2018. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10159652058415624&id=283706330623 Some form of 'world first' (of course, it's Merlin ), though no other indication as to what or where though. No idea what this could be, but suggestions welcome (anyone who suggests a top spin in any way will be banned forever though )

It felt like the park found a specific niche for itself. Big, loud and fun. It described itself as Johnny Knoxville if he were a theme park and knew exactly what it wanted to be. The park was always busy and was an incredible day out. Even the fright nights was one of the best, debuting the first roaming actor team which were the clowns. Saw was the only IP they had and it was an absolute blast and the mazes were unique to their own original design. My memories of visiting back then are always positive whereas now it’s hardly the same feeling I get and my passion for visiting has massively gone down. The park doesn’t ever know what it wants to be and mo…

After reading the news on TPM that the farm will not be returning I've got mixed feelings.1st, Great new rides / new zone, even thou they will seriously have to improve access to the new area. But will there be a new area, there is a residential area right behind it, seems like Thorpe maby looking at doing an Alton Towers I.e. a car park where the farm is and a shuttle service into the park as some of the current car park is to be used as a hotel. Still shows that somthing big is happening and change and progress are a good thing.but 2nd, quite sad, I remember going to the farm as a kid used to love it especially when you used to go on the train and come back on the fer…

We are rapidly approaching the end of the 2019 season so a good time for this thread I felt! So what would you realistically like to see the at the park in 2020? We know there will be no new rides, but that don’t mean we can’t see some worthwhile improvements ! For me: Firstly build on this years “year of events” bouncezilla was harmless fun, I’d like to see more of a summer event, I think they struggled a bit staying open late with no real purpose what saw it them cut, try give people more of a reason to stay later in summer. Would also like to see them try a firework event again - the park always had a great atmosphere during fireworks a…

From Thorpe's Facebook Page: It's probably not the most shocking news, but it's great to see it confirmed. Who's planning on going this year then?

Was very excited to find this today on Apple Music! Don’t know how long it’s been there or how it got there but brought back some amazing memories from my childhood! Has anyone noticed this? I would love them to bring back the rangers for the birthday celebrations, but seeming less and less likely! Anyone got any great stories or remember these banging tunes! How’s

Hi, I'm Danielle, and as you can see from my username, I love X:/ No Way Out (even though I've never rode it and live in the USA.) I specifically like it pre-2007, though, before they changed the storyline and sound effects. The computer virus theme appeals to me, because it reminds me of the Toonami miniseries "Trapped in Hyperspace" (am I the only USA person here who knows what that is?) I want to make a ride like X:/ and Outer Limits: Flight of Fear over at Kings Island and Kings Dominion in the USA had a baby, themed after that miniseries. So I want to ask, what was the experience like pre-2007? I know there was a huge queue with interactive rooms that sta…

Hi guys. Sorry to bother you all, but I've recently been re-reading Making Thorpe Park by Chris Atkinson (an excellent read, by the way!), and when discussing the earlier years of the park, it talked quite a bit about Treasure Island, a pirate-themed train ride and show (I think?) that the park operated under RMC. The land is allegedly not in use anymore. So my question was; where exactly was Treasure Island, and does the park still own the land? I'd also be intrigued to know about Thorpe Farm, but I know that was near Canada Creek/Old Town, as the Canada Creek Railway used to run to Thorpe Farm until 2006.

Thorpe Park has expanded terrifically over the recent years to become the great park it has now become. However along the way, the park has sadly closed and removed a number of rides attractions. Out of all the many lost rides at the park, which one do you miss the most?
