Sooo, whilst I appreciate the Great British Weather (or should I say, the Great British Weather Forecast People) is/are forever changing their minds; the forecast for this weekend is looking pretty abysmal. Phone app was predicting high winds, MetOffice is predicting snow showers... I've been on park before when the bad weather policy has been in place, and literally nothing was running (quantum was the only open ride I could be bothered with, and we already know that will not be running this weekend, weather permitting or not). If the weather is that bad this weekend, what will they do? Just activate the policy, reschedule etc.? Something tells m…

So basically I'm on a mission to lose enough weight so that I can visit Blackpool and enjoy all the pleasure beach rides. However, no specific requirements are given for BPB, however I have found Alton Towers maximum CHEST is 48 inches so for now that is my goal. That said, is it possible BPB could have a higher or even lower chest capacity? Also most of my weight is on my stomach so rather than measuring my chest I'm best off measuring that... right?

Hello I'm thinking of buying an Annual pass this year and was wondering how much extra I'll have to pay for the summer nights where the park is open 10am-10pm. Its says in the T&C that there is additional charge but doesn't state how much, would it be the same as Fright nights which is like £5 extra? Thanks Jake

My cousin and my grandparents went to Thorpe a few times in the early20s late 90s my cousin often recalls when disgussing Thorpe a number of fires. She said that everytime she went thier was a fire of some discriptionw. Once both my cousin and my grandad one got escorted to another part of the park. Due to a fire. Can you tell me what year this fire my cousin mentioned took place and what caused it. If it's any help my cousin was about the age rage of 7 or eight at the time she's now 25. I hope this information helps.

Might sound like an odd question but I was wondering if anybody knows how much Thorpe Park engineers get paid. I am looking to do a career with mechanical engineering in the future and was wondering if Thorpe was a good idea or not. I know I'll enjoy it because working with machines and rides is what I enjoy doing, but I don't want to set my goal as an engineer there just to find out I'll be payed a fraction of minimum wage, which I expect Merlin get away with . Any info as to other wages there might help as well so I can get an idea of how much they pay generally for work. Thanks.

Just wondering if the ticket kiosks at the park are still operating normally, as I saw a post a few weeks back which said something about the security checks taking up the kiosks and that tickets were being sold elsewhere. Also, to get the discounted tickets with a regular Thorpe Annual Pass, they are purchased as if buying normal tickets, correct? Thanks

I'm planning to go to the next MoS night at TP and I was just curious about a few things and was wondering if anyone here knew the answers... 1) What are the queue times for rides like on the night? 2) Do the rides all shut at 11pm or do they sometimes stay open longer? 3) Is the club running from 8pm or does it start later? 4) Which rides are usually open? (esp. DBGT as most of my friends are yet to go on it and really want to) 5) What are the drinks prices like in the club? Lots of questions I know! But I would massively appreciate any knowledge anyone can shed on the subject, thanks!

Hey everyone, I'm visiting Thorpe Park for the very first time on saturday 8th July. As I'm travelling such a long way I want to make sure I get everythimg done so I'm curious of how long the queue times will approximately be for that time of year and how I should make my way around the park to avoid long queues. Any other tips would be much appreciated aswell, thank you. :-)

Hi, relatively new here so if this is in the wrong place, sorry! I should be visiting Alton Towers this weekend and am hoping to ride The Smiler for the first time. I am aware of Single Rider, is this the quickest way to get on? As it is a summer weekend, I suppose it will be rather busy so the main queue could be quite long. Thank you!

So I'm hoping to visit Thorpe park mid July. I'm: 5ft5 42G (bra size) 18 stone Would I fit on some/most rides? I'm a manual wheelchair user, have been for years, and currently having chemo which means I'm on steroids which means they put on weight. ALOT of weight. I hate it, but in this weather I really want to visit Thorpe park. So, would I fit? Quick replies would be hugely appreciated!

My friend and I been planning it for almost a year knw I wanna go but I dot wanna go if that make sense it say on the because on the website the seat size is max 51 torso. This might sound like a stupid question but tomorrow I am going to Thorpe with a friend and therefore won't have a parent to hold my bag/ phone. This means that I will have to hold my bag at all times in the park. However, on some rides like inferno and Colossus, there isn't any bag drop. What would you recommend I do with my phone (and bag) when I do rides because I really don't want my phone to be stolen?
