  1. theres also 6 question marks backing up the 6 attractions idea! As it’s saying mazes and ‘scare experiences’ on the website, I reckon if it is 6 new things then there will be some silly things thrown in like tiny zombie scare zones.

  2. Found something of interest on the background image on the Fright Nights website: https://www.thorpepark.com/fright-nights-2018 "6 NEW MAZES TO BE ANNOUNCED 11TH SEPTEMBER 7AM" Could just be to throw us off, it seems highly unlikely, but it's odd that it's in the image.

  3. Okay so at the end of the announcement we had today, at the end it says “do not adjust your set” and I google searched the quote and it came up with a 1968 children’s tv show.. and in the announcement u see a tv and there is a tv looking exactly the same from the show saying “do not adjust your set”.... please just be a coincidence.. or an Easter egg.. I swear to god if a childrens tv show from the year NO ONE WAS BORN turns into a full fledge horror maze then were all doomed. Oh look! A scary black and white monster from the 1960’s is coming after us! Aghhh I’m so scareeeedd -sarcasm if you didn’t already catch on-

  4. From what I understand Figaro Bros are some individuals who used to work at the park and have gone off to do their own thing - totally unrelated to The Big Top in that sense, there would be nothing contractual stopping them bringing it back.

  5. No ENCOUTERS which is something very different.

  6. Interesting - wonder if they could do something with The Walking Dead The Ride Over Fright Nights - I saw a few people mention a live version of the pre show was in operation over summer, the exit also had more actors than usual - perhaps a test for Fright Nights?

  7. Love how rumour is always reported as fact here.... Personally I dont care anymore anyway

  8. So is it safe to assume this "reveal" means that there is no sign of the Big Top returning then?...... *golf clap* This looks like it's gonna be the first Fright Nights since 2008 where I'm not gonna bother going this year. The one and only thing left which drew me back to this event for the last couple of years is now likely gone. I guess the Figaro Bros. couldn't continue with another year of "crazed debauchery" it seems. ?

  9. My speculation confirmed: Saw, Living Nightmare, Platform 15, Containment speculation for other 6 attractions; 1. Blair Witch(basically confirmed) 2. Sanctum( relocation or different walking dead maze) 3. Walking Dead The Ride comes Alive 4. Zombie Hunt reopens 5. Roaming Actors/ Scare Zone 6. Cinema Show I hope I'm wrong but I don’t think we will see more than 2 new mazes. I think the majority of them will be experiences or ‘encounters’ as they describe it.

  10. Just found this reply thread on thorpes twitter. Someone spotted that it’s the same font as nightmare on elm street and Thorpe replied with a gif saying “a-ha”... is that confirmation? Nightmare on elm street would be a great maze to add to the lineup IMO if they do go ahead with adding it.

  11. There's a banner in the bottom right to turn off the music and it reads "X ESCAPE THE DEAD". A reference to something about the walking dead ride perhaps?

  12. The hat is most likely a teaser to one of the new mazes as it’s not in the older posters

  13. Don’t want to start any stupid rumours, but it looks a little ‘Texas chainsaw-ish’

  14. Again not my point... I said that Figaro did the Construction - its them they might not want to use for some reason, that was my point. Forget it - pretend I didnt say anything....

  15. The Big Top 16/17 was created in house by staff, who didn't return for 2018 season. Nothing to do with Thorpe not wanting to use them or not. First the spelling mistakes, and this.. they need to fire whoever is in charge of this madness

I came up with a list of rides that are worse then Thirteen and I only came up with Spinball Whizzer, Galatica and Rita. Thats not a detriment to Thirteen, I think its a perfectly serviceable ride and one of Towers more fun offerings.

I second both of these!! Maverick may have its flaws such as its restraints and the trims just after the second launch, but it’s variety in elements and it’s intensity to me is enough to give it the nod over Taron. Millennium Force has the edge over Shambhala for me because it has an incredible first drop (arguably my favourite drop on any coaster), amazing speeds throughout, great views of the lake and surrounding coasters, does have some good pops of airtime (not as much as Shambhala admittedly) and to me is just a more fun coaster which is why it’s one of my top 3!! Maybe I’ve just turned into a huge Cedar Point fanboy though!! ?

  21. Spell checkers don't come for free lads. Oh wait.

  22. That’s what the website says ? Theyve also said this year will be their biggest and most terrifying event to date. But then again, don’t they say that every year..

  23. The Fright Nights website has been updated confirming that Saw Alive, Living Nightmare, Platform 15 and Containment will be returning. So basically nothing that we haven’t heard before. “More mazes and encounters” are going to be revealed soon.

Those poor guests, not being rescued by staff in their Safari car park! Poster looks alright though.

Thirteen is definitely one of the better rides at Towers. Sure it’s marketing campaign was misleading but it’s a fun ride for both ‘adventurous families’ and thrill seekers and generally has the most enjoyment and surprise from overall riders. I like about everything from thie. Coaster, from it’s gothic queue and station, doen to the surprise drop and backwards section. Heck, even it’s pre-station mini launch is more than acceptable. It’s still the park’s most successful attraction too. Unlucky? I think not!

(It's not over rated, you just don't like it as much as others do)

  27. Staff have definitely been briefed that all the September closed days are now open.

  28. The lineup is pretty obvious tbh. Fright Nights 2018: Bore Alive: Do you like drab and dated mazes that have a million broken effects? Blair (Why is this back) Witch?: Its not terrible but its painfully mediocre. Plonked shipping containers and a few actors: Just as bad as it sounds. A good maze with a terribly paced bore of a finale: The only reason to come. A maze that is pretty decent but lasts two seconds: Its better than nothing. Plus.. A escape room that will leave you half asleep.

  29. "Love Island: Too Late" maze rumours currently circulating, watch this space. Take a trip round the Love Island Like No Other where you witness the scary reality of grammar, the ability to form a sentence and any last semblance of intelligence disappearing before your very eyes ?

Colossus is an enjoyable ride, one of the better full package experiences at thorpe/uk. The swarm isn't as forceless as people make it out to be. The heli turnaround made my vision go grey a few days ago (back row outside seat though)
