EC!
I know this ride is hated lol but might as well start a topic to vent your hatred or love for the ride. Plus for the first time in a few year both arms were working together in sync for an hour until one broke down midday according to Towers Street. Coaster
It's good that they are using both arms again I quite like Submission, I can't see why so many people hate it! If you don't like it don't ride it, simple as.
pluk
I quite like the sensation of it. Not so keen on the restraint which is like a brick being pushed into your stomach making it quite unpleasantly uncomfortable on slow inversions, and that it wobbles around like it is made of tinfoil held together with string. Fred
Not sure there's a single staff member that enjoys Submission, let alone the guests!
Spider
Awful ride. Can't believe they got rid of the Energiser for it - those things were a bit weird but I always quite enjoyed them. Submission is a classic example of flat ride that just doesn't work as a fun experience. If it didn't have such a small footprint I reckon it would be gone. Are there many of these rides operating? JoshC.
Only been on it once, but I quite liked it really. Fun experience which is quite different. I also seemed to be fine with the restraints; no way painful at all and I was on the furthest inside. I can see why people would find the uncomfortable, but I was fine with them and they caused no issues. I can think of a couple of flat rides (top spins, Slammer...) which I find much more uncomfortable and less entertaining (especially in the case of Slammer for the latter there). Han30
I went on Submission on Saturday and, despite thinking that I would hate it I actually really enjoyed it. I am not a fan of slow inversions or being held upside down for longer than a second or two but I would have happily gone on it a few more times (had it not broken down). Topsyturvy15
One question, how? It was agony!!! Your legs get squeezed so hard it's like being in Saw. James & Co.
alexander
I went on this for the first time on Sunday and I don't plan on riding it again. Ryan and Tom

UnderItAll
Good example of how theme park flat ride cycles are a lot shorter than that on a fairground.Never bothered to go on it myself but can imagine it being an interesting experience. Han30
I guess I am in the minority - it literally had no queue and I could have happily ridden it several times in a row.....but I ain't normal. Also I've heard that for males it can be, er, a tad painful
alexander
I couldn't feel my thighs afterwards

darkadder312
I don't like Submission it squeezes you in hard and just about breathe I only ever go on it once every time I go.
Coaster
I must be one of the few people who actually likes Submission. No, I won't go out of my way to ride it but if there is no queue and I am in the area then I will go on it. It's quite fun to be honest, even if it does hurt a bit!
Cal
May I ask, did this ride ever operate with 2 swings, heard it didn't but the picture tells me different
SteveJ
It did for quite a few years. I remember going on it quite a few times in the early 2000s both sides.
Fred
They spent a lot of money, effort and time on it over this winter. It operated with two arms in April I believe, it died within 30mins. It hasn't operated with two arms since.
OldFarmerDean
it's never busy enough to warrant opening with two arms... although as said above they did do a lot of maintenance over winter to open both arms anticipating it to be busy this season due to the close proximity of the smiler. Fred
Well, they spent a lot of money as it'd "look good". Didn't increase budget to staff the ride. When they eventually decided to use both sides, it broke. The end.
Benin
Well apparently Submission is (finally) being removed... http://www.towersstreet.com/news/2014/submission-retiring-for-2014-season/ Probably 2015 addition then?
Mark9
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! No longer will we hear "SUBMISSION AWAITS, BE PREPARED FOR EMBARKATION". That's sad. Very sad. Incredibly sad. Or would be if anyone rode it regularly. Mer
EC!
So they are taking it out before the season starts? In that case well I'm not sad, was painful as hell. And I'm glad enterprise isn't going it just fits there, fingers crossed for a too replacement.
