Matt 236
That will mean the end of one of the last remaining old school Thorpe Park logos! Doesn't chief rangers have one more?
TPJames
The trains where sent back to Vekoma for a total uplift. It will have individual lap bars That's great no more feeling like your gonna fall out with the bar 10cm above you! Maybe this is the reason why X is currently closed, because Vekoma have the trains??
RideAddict
I like low lap bars, Th13teen's are low and good. Rush's are so low I feel like I'm gonna fall out!

Fred
Vortex is only ride to make me feel ill as well. Wretched things. X lapbars, I've just got boomerang trains in my head (so, ben10?). Not the most comfortable.. but also don't think they'd fit the track envelope etc anyway.
MattyMoo
Thorpe should probably take off that review at the bottom of the page for X!
Pitbull
I would assume (and I may be wrong) for the height restriction to have been lowered and set at 1m, some sort of forward test runs would have taken place, now unless these took place before the trains were sent away, TP must have some vechels on site now. TPGG
Don't take our word for it... It is wicked it stops then goes backwards really fast and in pitch dark Natasha, 7th November 2009 Don't think it does?

OldFarmerDean
I find it really annoying when people complain about Thorpe Park changing one of their original rides, and being upset about it... theme parks have to move forwards to get anywhere otherwise it would just get boring! Glad to see X is getting some attention!
Ryan
theme parks have to move forwards If you'll pardon the pun Phill Pritchard, Inferno, JoshC. and 4 others
Coaster
I saw the front of a refurbished X train today from the Colossus brake run - it was painted completley black with just "THORPE PARK" written on the front in capital letters. From what I could see it had individual lap bars but no seat divider - although I obviously only got a quick look. TheBlonderSouth
Yeah it looked like orange stencil on the front, the cars look almost identical though Inferno

They look like mini space shuttles now they've been repainted. Swarm's younger brother or cousin.
Graeme
The old x cars were more rectangular and didn't have the curved front with the hand rails on if I remember correctly. I think they're new not refurbs
SteveJ
They look very similar in some ways. Before... After... Oooh, err... I much prefer how they looked before. Since when was YELLOW CAPITAL LETTERS the Thorpe Park logo? Nevermind, the new lap bars and more open seats will considerably improve the ride experience. coaster_monkey, Matt 236 and alexander
pluk
Excellent spot. They look identical to me, just resprayed. I think the black looks good, although in the dark colour doesn't matter too much! Like it now but concern the white will wear and look tatty after not too long. STEALTHDAN
There does appear to be some subtle changes I would say the chassis have been refurbished and had new fiberglass bodies installed.

jmgpannal
Yup, and that same logo in white is on the front of The Swarm. I think it's also stamped on the side on the Storm Surge boats as well. Seems to be the standard for labelling at TP at the mo MattyMoo and Graw
