March 25, 20169 yr comment_230486 Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere but looking at Charlie Perks' recent POV of the ride, the Pressure Test music is now back in the Rub-A-Dub Reactor room! EDIT: Also the original version of the Fairground music has been restored (so no more jumping back to the start of the loop...or quacking!!!)...but strangely in the Foamburst Falls section the Bubblehead in the barrel can be heard saying "It's out of this world!" like when the Craterade rocket was there in the Professor Burp days.
March 26, 20169 yr comment_230501 Yes, the restored audio is lovely isn't it? Good job Mr. for sorting that out, it took an awful lot of persistence! Oh and not a penny of pay. Why can't we have more people like this in the industry? If only. People who care are in such short supply, it's ridiculous. Well done for pulling through despite all the set backs. Still, one step at a time.

The fairground section had no music and neither did the animal spa thing today.Sent from my SM-G361F using Tapatalk
April 18, 20169 yr comment_232706 Does anyone know why the Bath Time sign has gone from above the drop into the fountain room?
April 18, 20169 yr comment_232721 People were taking it literally. That must've been rather amusing yet catastrophic at the same time (were there any casualties?)
April 18, 20169 yr comment_232723 I know there was some work going on in the drop area, maybe they had to remove it so they could carry out work and never put it back?
April 20, 20169 yr comment_232853 The Bathtime sign has gone because they've installed a heavy lifting beam where it used to be, to lift boats off the ramp if necessary. Also, Bathtime everybody.
July 22, 20169 yr comment_238740 The Surrey comet are reporting that bubble works will be closing at the end of this year.
July 22, 20169 yr comment_238741 Looks like it! https://www.chessington.com/explore/theme-park/attraction/16/bubbleworks.aspx Last rides 6th September
July 22, 20169 yr comment_238743 This is at the entrance of the park. Sad to see it go, but this looks interesting. Let the speculation commence!
July 22, 20169 yr comment_238744 I think most of us said goodbye to it back in 2005... Wonder what IP will be used... Probably Hotel Transylvania...
July 22, 20169 yr comment_238745 Presuming the ride system will remain? Fingers crossed some actual effort goes into it this time.
July 22, 20169 yr comment_238746 They are in dire need of a new coaster, so do you think and indoor one could fit in the bubbleworks warehouse? I know it's not very tall, but could be a junior launch coaster of some sort?

Lets also not forget that Vampire is quite literally next door (underneath in fact)
July 22, 20169 yr comment_238749 OMG, this is so sad But it's definitely had it's time of day, Benin is right we said goodbye to it in 2005 its never been the same since. Going to try and head down there for the last ride on the 6th Interesting that they have decided to use the original theme on this memo, rather than the updated current one?

Yeah, I thought they were putting things in the parks history. Very weird.

July 22, 20169 yr comment_238753 That poster seems remarkably apologetic considering most fans of the ride probably haven't cared for it in 11 years. Odd that they've geared it so squarely towards teens/adults, regarding the classic imagery also.
July 22, 20169 yr comment_238755 There goes another slap on the back of childhood. I know the original technically died in 2005, but I still had a soft spot for the attraction. I don't know whether this move will be put the old ride out of its misery or be an insult to the original. But I have strong faith whatever replaces it won't be that good, because let's face it. Everything needs to be IP's to be successful these days otherwise it'll fail.

But as someone who was around to love it at its peak any nostalgia for something good died a long time ago. It really is time something else was done with it and I don't care a jot for what is there now.
July 22, 20169 yr comment_238757 Finally putting it out of it's misery it seems. I doubt the ride system will remain.
July 22, 20169 yr comment_238759 Rode Bubbleworks in its opening year and it was never the same when they rebranded it and got ride of Prof Burp - far too many ducks and quacking! Hopefully something decent will take its place.....hmmm
