April 4, 201312 yr comment_155739 Happy Birthday Neme Inferno Hopefully we will be able to celebrate that birthday like TPM did with Colossus
April 4, 201312 yr comment_155740 Indeed, Happy Birthday Inferno! Despite the flack the coaster takes from certain forums, for me personally this is still one of my favourite B&M's to date.
April 4, 201312 yr comment_155747 While my perception of the ride has somewhat changed slightly in recent years, Inferno left me absolutely speechless when I rode it for the first time. I thought it was an incredible experience. However back then the only real thing I had to compare it to was a wild mouse and the Legoland Dragon coaster.
April 4, 201312 yr comment_155756 I wish it had retained it's track colour better. These days, that white stuff (whatever it is) makes it look so old and yucky.
April 4, 201312 yr comment_155768 who thinks nemesis and Colossus shud get a repaint end of this season
April 4, 201312 yr comment_155778 *Sigh* I would like to see it and it may potentially happen one day.
April 4, 201312 yr comment_155787 Happy Birthday Inferno, here's to the first B&M coaster I've ridden plus the first looping ride I ever experienced. May it last at least another ten years.
April 4, 201312 yr comment_155795 Inferno is like the coaster equivalent of a best friend. Sure it has its faults but its always there, open and ready to go (aside from when its cold and it's forgotten its winter jacket) Inferno
April 4, 201312 yr comment_155805 Inferno was roaring away through the sleet and snow (which became a blizzard at one point) on two trains today, and was probably the most consistently popular ride in the park
April 4, 201312 yr comment_155808 Yep, it opened a little late, but it when it opened, it was going strong. Pretty much had a 30min+ queue all the time it was open. And as a little Inferno birthday present... Feel the heat SNOW!
April 9, 201312 yr comment_156227 The tunnel was full of dense mist today. Was really awesome. And of course the ride itself was brilliant as always, it doesn't feel anywhere near 10 years old. Here's to the next 10 years!
April 9, 201312 yr comment_156285 It would appear it's birthday map was actually the 5th, I checked the press pack on the website.
April 12, 201312 yr comment_156477 What an advert indeed, controversial considering you should really be keeping your shoes on to ride...
April 12, 201312 yr comment_156516 The tunnel was still full of so much mist yesterday, it was on two trains for most of the day and the music inside the station was so loud, (I included this in my trip report from yesterday).
April 12, 201312 yr comment_156560 Having never experienced them before, I loved the mist effects. Was a real treat for me when I rode it earlier this week. Personally the one thing I have always thought Inferno lacks is those heater effects. If I'am not mistaken there are some in the Legoland Dragon ride just before the coaster goes outside. Considering Inferno is about a volcano and its heat etc, I'am surprised the park never chose to install them. Having said that, I don't know where they would go. There isn't exactly a "darkride" element to Inferno like there is on the Dragon Coaster.
April 14, 201312 yr comment_156721 Inferno should have fire effects! Yes it should, it is themed around a volcano so why is there no lava lol
April 14, 201312 yr comment_156747 Why is there a rule about wearing sturdy shoes on inferno but on nemesis at AT ive never wore shoes when I've been on it?
April 14, 201312 yr comment_156749 Think both rides are supposed to require shoes but depends on the staff as I have personally seen Nemesis at AT stopped on the bottom part of the lift hill when someone wasn't wearing shoes and a staff member took the persons shoes up to them.
April 14, 201312 yr comment_156753 Dare I mention 3 little words again that it could also be... Health and safety.
April 14, 201312 yr comment_156757 Inferno should have fire effects! Nemesis Inferno has red "fire" lighting in the tunnel, but I only saw them on once last year.
April 14, 201312 yr comment_156766 Nemesis Inferno has red "fire" lighting in the tunnel, but I only saw them on once last year. Yes but that's just lighting, I mean real fire effects. Considering it's supposed to be an "Inferno" it should have them. (Although this is Thorpe...)
