alexander
Had a dream I went on the new air last night and nothing was repainted it was just covered in pitch black tunnels with a few fairy lights dashed around to make it look like space. I rode front row with some guy from TOWIE... Fascinating dreams are. OldFarmerDean and Celia Mae
yeah
Well, you know Merlin with creative names. There's already oblivion: the black hole and I have a feeling the Derren brown attraction will also have an uninspiring name. At least the restaurant does what it says on the tin.It will be called "Simulator - A Derren Brown ride" and every line of dialogue will end in "Derren Brown ride'Sent from my SM-G361F using Tapatalk
yeah
Rollercoaster Restaurant. Named by the same geniuses who gave us Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure only a year ago. EDIT: Alton Towers have now revealed a description on their website! Despite the name, this does sound very promising! So promising they're going back in time to open it!Sent from my SM-G361F using Tapatalk
Paul
Does anyone know if a merlin annual pass will get you a further 20% discount off the hotel, on top of the 35% off in their January sale?
Benin
Doubtful, usually its one or the other (which is fair)...
Paul
That's what I thought! I called them up earlier and they didn't seem to know! Off-peak is cheap anyway with the 35% so that's great. Thanks

Coaster
1 day late, how dare they In reality you'll be going regardless of ride closures anyway Actually it's not one day late, they've had 31 days to reveal it during the timescale they put on their website and it would be helpful to know for people planning a visit or making a decision on whether or not to renew their MAP.I won't be visiting if the rumoured six-ride closure comes to fruition, especially not if they're rides I like as it is a case of whether it's worth the petrol money for a 6 hour round trip for me. Matt 236
I reckon Ripsaw will be closed I hope not as I am planning that to be the first ride of the season, followed by a go on Hex and the flume followed by an underwhelming trip to a cardboard factory. Ian-S
Ryan
Obviously something's happened which has made them delay the announcement. They don't withhold information from people just to piss them off.

yeah
True, but there isn't any info on the others, plus Ripsaw [alongside Flume] is also on there. Must be a recent thing. I did originally put Flume & CaTCF were staying til I saw Rippy on there. I did hear the other day, might have been on here, that Rippy was going back to Huss and so part of me hopes that there's an umpteenth of a chance it'll be coming back. Won't happen, though.Sent from my SM-G361F using Tapatalk

Project LC
The media team are trying their best. How else do you sell a closed ride as a good thing. Your blame is on the wrong department in this case Jamie. Corporate cutting budgets is hurting operations which mean media have to come up with nonsense like that. RobF
Ripsaw has left the park in pieces along with the bridge control box ect. its deffo not coming back. We expected hex to be closed for 2016 So were just waiting for news of charlie, driving school, wobble world and sub terror So it could be upto 6-7 closures this year yeah
