Kind of surprised we didn't have a Fuji-Q thread to be honest. Not sure if anyone on the forums has been (maybe @Benin or @BenC ?), but of course, it's a park well known for breaking records and just general being a bit over the top insane. One of their most well known coasters is Dodonpa, a S&S launch coaster with a launch of 0-107mph in 1.8 seconds. The park have recently announced, however, that they are going to be retracking Dodonpa, with rumours circulating they they'll be adding a loop. And given Fuji's fetish for records, the world's tallest loop doesn't seem out of the question! The ride will close next month and reopen next sum…

Madame Tussaud's New York has just opened an interesting new Ghostbusters VR walkthroughs powered by the same headsets used on Derren Browns Ghost Train. Here's a review: http://www.forbes.com/sites/sethporges/2016/07/01/a-review-of-ghostbusters-dimension-the-crazy-new-walk-through-vr-experience/#3497736b3a5b

  3. Grona Lund is small'ish amusement park located in Stockholm which is probably the 2nd biggest park in Sweden [after Liseberg]. For 2017 the park will be building a giant new drop tower called Ikaros. The ride will be 95 metres tall [aprox. 311ft] and will be similar to Falcon's Fury as it will be using tilting seats.

Along with every other chain in the world, Six Flags is opening a park in Dubai! Concept art shows a Mack Boomerang Splash like the new Pulsar at Walibi Belgium, as well as a potential Zacspin or S&S Free Fly Aside from a huge air-conditioned area (a necessity I'm sure!) and the potential dark ride sported by Six Flags Fiesta Texas, it screams Six Flags very very much

Did anyone even know about this? I didn't. I doubt this topic will be used much but anyway... http://m.gulfnews.com/leisure/travel/features/everything-you-need-to-know-about-legoland-dubai-1.1718876 Sent from my SM-G361F using Tapatalk

I'd be umm-ing and err-ing about whether to make a thread for Walibi Belgium, but their new coaster is intriguing me more and more, so figured I may as well... Pulsar, opening in early June, is a new Mack Power Splash coaster. Promo video... Essentially, the ride features 3 launches (eventually reaching a speed of about 62mph) and one massive splashdown (the promo video shows a couple, but there is only one). It sounds like such a weird, unnecessary and silly attraction, but at the same time, I think it could be quite fun! To help improve throughputs, there will be 2 boats / cars. One is on the track, the other in the station, which is separated by a…

  7. I'm surprised this isn't a topic so thought I may as well create it. This park is currently home to 3 B&Ms, and arrow looper, 2 Zierer coasters, a Premier Sky Rocket II, a predictable drop tower (you can say otherwise if you've ridden it) and some other rides I cannot be bothered to mention. This is said to be a very beautiful park which I could't agree more with after seeing images and videos. I'm not an expert on this park and I've never been so there's no point asking questions aimed at me (unless you're not a roller coaster fanboy/girl). 1 more thing; There's something big coming...

  8. Started by CharlieN,

Djurs Sommerland is a great Danish theme park. It has Piraten, an intamin mega light that's filled with air time. There's also Juvelen, an intamin family launch coaster. There's a large selection of water rides and a few flat rides including a gerstlauer polyp (new for 2016) and a Huss topple tower which looks like great fun. I don't think this will be a popular topic, but discuss below!

Apologises for creating a thread about a ridiculously obscure park that next-to-no-one on here will likely visit any time soon, but I think it's worthy of its own thread.. So, Ankapark is a new park being built in Turkey, due to open in August 2016. And amazingly, they're planning on opening not 1, not 2, not 3, ... , but FIFTEEN roller coasters. Insane really. A full list of the coasters confirmed so far is on RCDB: http://rcdb.com/12017.htm Most interesting ones are naturally the Intamin 10-inverting (new style layout and presumably trains, like Altair) and an unknown Intamin family launch coaster (possibly like Juvulen). Unfortunately the rest of the coast…

In my opinion this looks like the best LEGOLAND, and definitely the one I want to visit the most. I love the look of Polar X-Plorer, the Ice Pilots look quite good, Ghost look not bad, Viking River Splash looks almost too good, The Dragon looks good, the Pirate Splash Battle looks good, and so does Pirate Boats. On my list of foreign parks I HAVE to visit!

  11. Hi! I've composed for this attraction that I thought might interest you all! Lynton V Harris & The Sudden Impact! Entertainment Company have created the world’s first live interactive GHOSTBUSTERS attraction, under License from Sony Pictures Consumer Products, and launched into previews this past weekend ahead of an expected blockbuster Summer season starting mid-July. The company has inked a three year deal with Sony Pictures Consumer Products in Los Angeles, and continues its relationship with Six Flags Mexico following the success of the Company’s previous attractions there, ‘The Van Helsing Experience Live!’ and ‘TerminatorX: A Laser Battle for Salvatio…

I don't think we have a topic (I searched) for this park yet, and we're gonna need one... Why? Because it's getting a wooden coaster next year, is generally fab, and is only 45 minutes away from Calais! I visited yesterday and was lucky enough to get to chat to two management staff and try and coax SOME information about the planned wooden coaster for next year... Unfortunately we couldn't, but found out some interesting information about the park and the Plopsa brand (they own 5 parks, including Holiday Park) in general... As for this year, they're theming up their Teacups to a new IP of their own (Studio 100 own the Plopsa parks, so they are filled with thei…

I imagine this won't attract much attention on this forum, however I think this is a particularly exciting development to Europe arriving in June this year! Adventure World Warsaw will contain several major features including a massive entertainment village, a theme park, a water park and two hotels. The theme park will be the first ever theme park to set foot in Poland and the water park will be the largest water park in the whole of Poland. The total cost of this project before opening is to be set around €620million and the resort plans to expand in the future. The theme park itself will contain 6 themed lands with over 50 guest experiences including 24 themed rides.…

  17. Couldn't find a topic, so I started one. Shanghai will be Disney's next big stand alone park, which will feature a lot of different takes of the classic Magic Kingdom design such as no Main Street, a Tron themed motorbike coaster (instead of Space Mountain) and a whole area dedicated to Pirates Of The Caribbean. Above is construction of the new pirates ride, which so far looks hugely impressive (as you'd expect from Disney really). The parks opening in the first half of 2016, which has seen a delay from the originally planned December 2015 date.

  18. Pretty surprised to see there's no thread for this! Surely a ride so epic in every way deserves its own discussion? Spiderman is currently my all-time favourite ride. I remember it being one of the focuses of a theme park documentary I was watching a good 10 years back, showing behind the scenes footage and also footage of the ride itself...and when the famous finale to the ride was displayed, my mind was blown. Consequently, in the summer of 2008, I finally had the chance to give this a ride once and for all! SPOILERS:

Heres some news on the new rides for 2015. As much as I love Funfairs a giant loop does not count as a coaster! Its a flat ride! http://www.coaster101.com/2014/08/28/multiple-six-flags-parks-add-larson-giant-loops-2015/

Hey wasn't sure if this deserved it's own thread or not since I'm not sure I'll write a follow up report or anything but I was planning on visiting Walibi Holland in August, honestly I don't know much about the park (though I've heard it compared to Thorpe Park in that it's more about the big thrills than family stuff in a lot of ways) and I was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on visiting there or anything (best days to visit or what I should go on first etc) I'm looking forward to trying Robin Hood since I've never been on a wooden rollercoaster before and Goliath looks quite fun too, I haven't really been to any international theme parks before (well I …

So this will be the page for Holiday world in Indiana, USA. This park is home to 3 famous woodies, Raven, The Legend and The Voyage. Raven The Legend The Voyage All 3 are highly respected rides in America. And for 2015 it looks like they will be getting their first ever big steel coaster! Rumours were initially were RMC or Mack however the most likely rumour now is a B&M mainly due to the footers on site. These are the footers found on the holiday world site: Notice the footers with the almond/ova shaped holes in the middle of the shot. Then look at Banshee and Krake's: This among many websites, they think is conf…
