Well it's time to start that thread... Jack has shown a couple of new posters that appeared in Trailers' queue: Now there's lots of room for speculation here. It could be for 2 new (rethemed) rooms. The left poster could certainly be a retheme of the first room (the dentist scene). The right poster is a bit more open to interpretation. I've seen some suggest this could be a hint to The Walking Dead The Ride leaving, given that X was its previous name, and the right poster looks a bit zombie-like. Given the nod to the date (the start of Fright Nights), I think that's unlikely. The right poster has the glazed-over …

It would appear as though some sort of construction work has begun on Amity Beach, with diggers now present, indicating that some sort of major redevelopment or facelift could be coming: https://themeparkguide.co.uk/news-page/Thorpe-Park-2025-Beach-Redevelopment-Begins?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2CWtvfuCQDURzVQgibW2baEsyFLXyHir-_pXaA4HebIp8LVd8MwWxGwmE_aem_Um8Q1g2xTQTBRLVmFdmWDA It’s a promising sign if the beach is getting redeveloped in some capacity. I personally feel that it’s currently one of Thorpe Park’s weak spots. I wonder what could be happening?

Yes I know, Hyperia has barely just opened, but it's only natural sooner or later to ask the question "What comes next?" If we were to rewind 20 years ago, Tussauds had a clear investment cycle strategy for Thorpe, with a major investment coming every 3 years. That carried on into the Merlin era, before being tweaked to every 4 years. Obviously, we all know the story from here. Swarm didn't give an instant increase in visitor numbers, so the powers that be at Merlin deemed to some form of failure (despite the several flaws in that logic). Thorpe tried something different with DBGT and that, frankly, flopped. 2020 was at one point pencilled in to ha…

Feel like there is risk on the horizon for the future expansion or continued development of large scale attractions on the horizon for Thorpe park. Also think Merlin have missed a big opportunity, but may be missing something, so feel free to correct me. Seems the old Cemex offices have been sold and purchased by a property developer that is converting them to a care home facility and assisted living complex. Hardly ideal having such a complex located next to a theme park for noise etc. really feel that this will form rejections incoming for future planning applications, especially on the Northen side of the park, island behind stealth etc. However…

Hi guys. As of late, I’ve heard it mentioned that Thorpe Park is aiming to pursue more of an “amusement park” style vibe, with the themed areas being de-emphasised. The park allegedly even said this themselves in a recent post in their Facebook group. But in the past, the park has aimed to pursue theming more, with the themed areas being more strongly marketed and more themed rides being installed. With this in mind, I’d be keen to know; what is your stance on Thorpe Park’s alleged new direction? What path do you think the park should take with regard to themed areas? Personally, I’m not too upset that Thorpe Park is moving away from themed areas. While there …

Hi guys. I was scrolling through the Project Exodus thread, and I noticed that in some of the most recent posts in there, people were talking about the other things Thorpe Park needs to sort after Project Exodus is completed. With that in mind, I thought a thread discussing the things people would most like to see done at Thorpe Park after Exodus might be interesting. So, what do you think most urgently needs sorting at Thorpe? Personally, I'd like to see the following happen at Thorpe Park in the not-too-distant future: Either the installation of a new dark ride with universal appeal or a more family-friendly retheme/rework of Derren Brown's Ghost Tra…

what do you think will become of the Pyramid when The Walking Dead sponsorship ends? Do you think it will be reverted to the Family Freindly X Rollercoaster themed to a nightclub. Could you foresee the return of X No Way Out?

With the recent news of Nemesis being re-tracked after almost 30 years of service, it's got me thinking about the fate of Thorpe Park's ageing coasters. If we take Nemesis' life-span as a guide, and apply it to Thorpe's coasters, it means they might need major work doing sooner rather than later. Colossus - 8 years from now Nemesis Inferno - 9 years from now Stealth - 12 years from now Saw - 15 years from now (supposedly, although I think it'll need doing far sooner) I'd imagine that Colossus and Saw might need retiring/re-tracking earlier than Nemesis. The reason I bring this up is that this could leave Thorp…

With everyone hoping for a new coaster, I would like to bring up something which many people haven't! I think it is possible that Thorpe Park are planning on adding new family rides as well as bringing back the Canada Creek Railway or Loggers Leap! I also think it's possible that they are preparing to demolish Logger's Leap. Thoughts?

So this article came up about Thorpe objecting to a nearby retirement development because the new residents would complain about the noise. I guess they are objecting to this to cover themselves legally in the future if this development went ahead? It could well interfere with Thorpes future development plans.

Sooner or later, the Walking Dead license will expire and X:/ No Way Out will return, hopefully. I wish they'll use this ideal version of mine if it does. It'd be based on the ride circa 1999. However, a lot of it will be updated, using new effects and stuff. Like digital projections, subwoofers under the seats like Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, whatnot. It'll also have a new track layout including loops (like Vekoma wanted) and maybe it'll launch you backwards. The extended queue will return with new effects, and the storyline will be updated, playing on a video screen people would gather at (like the boiler room/library in Tower of Terror.) The story is that…

Island beats was this special event Thorpe park did in 2015, where they got bands in to play. They got the latest and 'trendiest' bands in and performed. This was during the summer and the park would be open until 10. Do you think this should come back? And if you do, who do you think should play?

So, SAW - The Ride is now about to enter it's TENTH season.. Time flies! Personally, I feel like the ride is ageing relatively poor, with the last couple of years becoming unbearable to ride, I mean; they sold Paracetamol in the store once upon a time for a reason! What does everybody think lies in the future of this attraction? I always presumed that the ride would be re-themed with the end of the Lionsgate contract, but now that Jigsaw has been released in the cinemas, I should think the contract has therefore been extended?

Rumba Rapids was originally open in 1989 as Thunder River. Thunder River was rethemed in 2001 as part of Merlins Ribhenna sponsorship I. Which The ride was renamed Rhibenna Rumba Rapids. However the Rhibenna part of the Name was dropped when the sponsorship ended. Although the ride itself stayed the same apart from a few minor changes. Rhibenna also Sponsored Berry Bouncers at Chessington this ride is know known and themed to the Jungle Bouncers. In the opening year of Thunder River a 11 year old boy Named Jonaphen White was thrown out of his boat and subsequently lost one of his ears! My cousin Natasha now aged twenty-Five went on this ride in 1998 with my gra…

Following the delightful announcement that Slammer is no more, I want to be that annoying guy who creates the way too keen topic about what people would like to see in its place... I guess there is a serious undertone to this though. Unlike Loggers, for example, Slammer is quite visible around the park, and leaving it SBNO is quite obvious. So presumably the park will want to physically remove the ride sooner rather than later, if at all possible. So what would you like to see replace it? Would you like a new ride, and if so, what? Would you prefer the area to become a more open space, say to be used for small events? A redevelopment of Bush…

Since it has been nearly 5 years since Thorpe Park has added a new roller coaster, I feel right now that a new roller coaster is necessary for them now. Obviously it won't be for 2017 as it would have been announced by now. Would would you like to see for their next roller coaster? Me personally a thrilling wooden roller coaster made by either RMC, GCI or Gravity Group

Fright Nights finishes on 31st October and the season ends on 2nd November, does it? Nope! Saturday 5th November is 'services day' with the park open 10AM to 10PM with full ride and Fright Night maze line up, free parking, limited tickets so minimal queues and no fastrack, and tickets only £18.50! This is for emergency service (including NHS staff) and armed forces personnel only run through 'blue light card' and 'defence discount service', but they can take their families so if you know anyone in these professions it may be worth being friendly to them around about now!

I think that THORPE PARK RESORT and Merlin Entertainments should add a new woodie to THORPE PARK RESORT in the Old Town and I think that THORPE PARK RESORT should place this Wooden coaster at the location of Saw - The Ride And Samurai and I think that they should move saw and Samurai to the island behind stealth and I think there should be a new area and this will include The Swarm as well and that they can make this area like the Dark forest at alton towers.I also believe THORPE PARK RESORT should Expand the hotel and this could be by knocking down the thrill workshop and replacing it somewhere else in the future, I think they should expand because the rooms are tiny an…

As Colossus is one of the old rollercoasters in the park that was the first 10 looping coaster in the world and was opened to public March 22nd 2002. Well I was thinking that THORPE PARK RESORT and Merlin Entertainments should upgrade Colossus by getting rid of the loud noise of the chain lift and repainting the whole track and making Colossus be a stand-up rollercoaster, this means you would have a bit more leg room and it will be the first 10-looping stand-up rollercoaster. This is just my opinion, you might not agree with me at all but this is just my opinion on what THORPE PARK RESORT & Merlin Entertainments should do to improve Colossus. …

The other day I had one of those google searching days, and ended up looking at ariel views of Thorpe on googlemap, and then ended up researching the Cemex site, and actually its history is very fascinating, It was originally owned by RMC (former owners of Thorpe park). It seems the site has been up for sale since 2011, with housing proposed for the site, which Thorpe have questioned as its so close to the park! And since then It seems things have gone quite. Cemex basically want to relocate as the offices are now to big for them! see this article on the issues http://www.getsurrey.co.uk/news/local-news/thorpe-park-questions-wisdom-ne…
