So today I was remembering doing face it alone. Doing so made me think of one question and I apologise if it was already discussed. Why did Thorpe do away with it?? If its what I think it is in regards to it being "too extreme" then frankly I think that's ridiculous. Those who participated in it knew what they was getting themself in for given they had to sign a disclaimer which explained clear as crystal what was about to occur aswell as being told at the time of purchasing the tickets exactly what was about to happen. If it's because people complained then I personally feel that they should be more concerned with reading a disclaimer properly before signing …

I know it's very early days, but my friend told me at Annual Pass day yesterday (Sunday 13th March 2011), that one of the new flat rides was to open this year. I highly doubt this is true because of Storm Surge and LC12 but it got me thinking, does anybody know/have any ideas about what the flat rides will be and when they will open? They don't have to be entirely true by the way, just what you would like to see. Thanks, Jack

Hi from Australia everyone! We are coming over in May and I have just found this awesome forum so I thought I`d throw a question your way....Having only ever really been to Australian amusement parks (I did go to Alton Towers back in 1998, just as Oblivion opened) but the concept of Fast Track passes were not even invented, nor have they really reached our shores....As we really want to make the most of our day at TP...would anyone recommend purchasing the `unlimited ride fast track` pass for May (in the 2nd week probably) If its really going to save us a ton of time then its worth the investment but I was reading the TP page on Facebook and was surprised to hear how quiet…

Hi everyone, I'm aware of how height restrictions work and I know you need to be 1.4 for extreme thrills etc, but is there a point where you are too tall to get on certain rides? I remember reading somewhere that Stealth has a height limit of 1.9 (and I'm rapidly aproaching that) but I wasn't too sure if this was true... Thanks in advance, and hopefully there isn't a point where I will be too tall to go on certain rides and Thorpe

Hi all, The response I've gotten from Thorpe park via facebook message has been a bit mixed on this question, at first they said yes and also said 'should be ok' but that's not really enough certainty to travel down on! We have tickets online brought using the Kellogg's 241 code thing. The T&Cs are below, would you say that the 8th October as a fright night date would be ok? The part that worries me is the 'and any events across all attractions' despite them not stating this date in the exclusions. "Offer EXCLUDES: 21st October – 31st October 2016 at THORPE PARK Resort, every Friday and Monday until Sunday 27th March 2016 and 29th –…

I know cameras are not allowed on rides but I know if you ask sometimes you can film. Who would I have to ask regarding filming the ride? I have a strap that locks onto my wrist so my camera could not fall off!

Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm hoping to return to TP during a weekend in July, but I'll most likely be on my own. As such I think I'll want to skip the longer queues with a fast track, but I've never used them before. I saw the full throttle ticket on the website for the rides I'd most likely be using it on anyway, but when you click through it vaguely mentions specific times. Does this mean when I purchase it I have to appear at the rides at particular times or can I go to them whenever I fancy? Secondly is this actually a wise option, or am I better off purchasing individual tickets during the day? How much do they cost for the main coasters, and are they a…

Here's an interesting question, not that I'd expect anyone to actually ever know the answer to it (!), I'm visiting with a friend on Friday who I last visited Thorpe with last August who suffers from migraines. On our last visit, she had a severe migraine come on around half way through the day and had to go home. At the start of the day we'd managed TWD, Stealth, Swarm and Vortex. Around halfway through the day, we rode Saw, Rush and then Zodiac in very quick succession. I suspect Zodiac may have pushed her over the edge. We're giving it another shot this Friday, I've been thinking what order we could do the rides in to go from least-migr…

Might sound like an odd question but I was wondering if anybody knows how much Thorpe Park engineers get paid. I am looking to do a career with mechanical engineering in the future and was wondering if Thorpe was a good idea or not. I know I'll enjoy it because working with machines and rides is what I enjoy doing, but I don't want to set my goal as an engineer there just to find out I'll be payed a fraction of minimum wage, which I expect Merlin get away with . Any info as to other wages there might help as well so I can get an idea of how much they pay generally for work. Thanks.

Quick recap: I am honeymooning to Ireland and England in May and I am a roller coaster fan, and my fiance is a Harry Potter fan. We have a crazy idea for May 9th (Tuesday) and I am wondering if anyone can help us figure out if this idea is possible. I know it isn't the best (more time can be spent at each place), but we are limited on time. Anyway... 08:45am: Land in Heathrow (from Cork, Ireland) 12:00pm: Thorpe Park 04:00pm: Warner Brothers Studio Tour (Harry Potter) 1.) Is is possible to get to Thorpe Park by noon? We land at 8:45 am at Heathrow, but I saw online where passport control isn't necessary when coming from Ireland. We p…

Hey guys, so I have a premium annual pass (merlin) and I am taking 2 friends to thorpe park on the second of september. I booked tickets through the family and friends passholder perk, and we bought fastpasses. I wasnt aware that chessington had early ride times, but they bought it up. I now know that both chessington and Alton towrs have ERT, but I was wondering if thorpe park does, and if (through the way I booked the tickets) my friends can have it too? Thanks!

I am going to Thorpe Park tomorrow, yay!I had just convinced myself to go on the SAW ride (I hate horror films) and plucked the up the courage when I found out that because of the SAW ALIVE fire, actors had moved to the queue of the coaster. This has completely put me off, I hate the idea of SAW ALIVE because of gory make up, pigmasks and people jumping out at you, so now to have this on the ride has completely freaked me out.So my question is..Will they were there tomorrow? Will they be there only at the peak times of the day? I am guessing the park won't be too busy tomorrow so I am more likely to get picked on by the actors. This is really worrying me!Also, what do they…

Hi, just a quick question here. I will be visiting the AP preview on thursday and have a booked place and ticket. I was wondering if they look at both your ticket and your pass or just your ticket. My reason being that I dont want loads of non ap holders turning up on the night who have tickets(as you didn't need your pass number to book), therefore increasing wait times. If anyone went last year and could tell me roughly how the event ran as a whole it would be really appreciated.

Hi guys, I'm assuming that a light shower on and off during the day (which is forecast for TP tomorrow) won't shut down all the rides? I am going with a friend who hasn't been for ages and I want her to get on all the rides! I heard that sometimes if the rain is bad, they will stop people going on the front seats (unless they want to get battered by the rain drops! I hear it can be quite painful) but other than that normal service is resumed when it rains? What about Stealth as I know this shuts at a hint of slight wind or weather change - can this still run in the wet/rain? Its my favourite What happens with fast track as I will be fast tracking all major rides at …

Does anybody know roughly how much single maze fast passes are for Fright Nights? I know you can pay £15 for all of them but has there been an option to buy them separatly in the past and if so how much, roughly, were they? Thanks in advance

Hey everyone I am new to this site and have some questions about the Fright Nights. I have been trying to figure out about how the Fright Night admission works. When you buy the admission online is that just for the Fright Night or is it for the whole day? Or do you have to buy a general admission day ticket and a Fright Night ticket on top of that? I have really been looking foward to visiting Thorpe Park while I am in the UK and luckily it will be during Halloween time, because sadly I will be missing my home parks Halloween events. I know at one of the parks here you pay your day admission ticket price and the Halloween stuff is included, but at another one it's a sepa…
