November 1, 20186 yr comment_261141 The thing is that I have looked on google earth and it dose not fit in with anywhere really as the trees are different, It’s really bugging me ?
November 1, 20186 yr comment_261144 Hello,I just spotted this in Thorpe Park's video.I Think maybe its a location of new attraction ?
November 1, 20186 yr comment_261146 Could well be! It appears as if Google maps has very recently updated its aerial view of the park and that could be an older version of that same area highlighted above. That said I can't imagine anything being able to be built there tbh as that would require an insane amount of tree removal. It probably has no meaning to anything new at all but time will tell. EDIT: Could even be the location shown here but rotated: Wasn't the hotel planned slightly right of this location???
November 1, 20186 yr comment_261147 No just found where it is, it’s the land next to where the hotel should have been built.
November 1, 20186 yr comment_261148 haha, just what I noticed, but your older looking image pretty much confirms it. Hotel finally going to be built???
November 1, 20186 yr comment_261150 Aha snap!, what is the latest with the hotel anyway, do they have permission yet? surprised that merlin being merlin have not added 5 hotels already ?
November 1, 20186 yr comment_261151 Slammer and Loggers have been SBNO for too long, they need to either be reopened or replaced ASAP.
November 1, 20186 yr comment_261152 Just now, Coaster said: Slammer and Loggers have been SBNO for too long, they need to either be reopened or replaced ASAP. They are never going to re-open now, slammer cost to much to maintain and loggers has quite clearly gone past being repaired. I’m just so confused because what is happening at this park at the moment, there has been lack of investment, looks tired, and no hotel yet. I feel like this is the park the merlin might sell on to somebody else, just a thought ?
November 2, 20186 yr comment_261157 Oh my god, I've literally never read such ridiculousness in all my life. You are all reading way too much into what is literally nothing. I'll eat my hat if anything happens there, if there were to be something happening, don't you think you would have seen construction by now?

November 2, 20186 yr comment_261162 Incredible scenes in this thread Anyway it's going to be a new premium premium car park, that's £15/£20/£25 to park in 'cos the lines are painted with gold paint.
November 2, 20186 yr comment_261166 Jeez. The Big Top has taken over this thread as there’s so much going on! If anyone needs me I’ll be in Fin’s Bar which is where some need to chill at. Oh whoops, silly me it’s closed season now,

November 2, 20186 yr comment_261171 Personally with the trees shown in the video, its taken from the area next to the hotel (thorpe land so theoretically cant be built on, though what would be worth to build there is another matter) but with the shot before it showing swarm and almost inferring the rider turning into it. it might be suggesting something being built on treasure island finally which apart from the hotel site is the last "green field" site on the park. though from what I heard the issue with that island is soil (which is why the last 2 coasters where built on reclaimed land not that area) still be interesting if something was built there
November 2, 20186 yr comment_261172 The soil properties of the land aren't too bad. They wouldn't support a coaster without serious work but I know something it can support with 100% certainty
November 2, 20186 yr comment_261173 I'm about as convinced we will be seeing a development on that site opposite the dome in 2019 as I am with Project Zero becoming a reality. Not buying it. If there was going to be substantial construction on that area of land including the clearing of trees, filling of concrete and laying of foundations etc of any building, wouldn't plans have been submitted to the Runnymede Council by now? It was this time a year ago WD: The Ride's outdoor queue makeover and watch tower was submitted and that was merely just a redo of the exterior of X, so something involving much more work would be submitted earlier for approval wouldn't it? Might be something for 2020 however, but as things stand right now, I don't see anything for 2019 appearing... except maybe 'Love Island: Get Me Out of Here - The Ride' (sponsored by AMC).

November 3, 20186 yr comment_261189 Having visited Thorpe today for the first time in 2 years, the park is in need of a refresh throughout the whole park. It's falling into a state of disrepair. Instead of investing in a new ride, buy some paint and get new restraints on Stealth, Inferno and Rush at a minimum. Sort out the quelling fences and paint some of the facades.....sort out the inferno volcano and the Colossus track. It was so un appealing. Apart from the rides, its a horrible place to be. Don't build a hotel yet, sort the rest of the park out.
November 6, 20186 yr comment_261209 Thorpe are terrible at doing teasers so I'm not going to speculate until we see some work happening somewhere. Something will change as Merlin always have to have something "new" to advertise the new season with at their parks. Could be anything from a ride to a footpath.
November 9, 20186 yr Author comment_261255 Anyone else feel like Thorpe's Twitter is the cringiest thing to happen in 2018, and just generally not how a theme park should do social media? Or am I just out of touch with what's "cool" these days...
November 9, 20186 yr comment_261258 #2Dank4U *dabs away* Honestly it's very typical of a company that thinks it's funny/cool/down with the sickness kids to post stuff like that... The engagements say it all though (low for an account like Thorpe's)...
November 9, 20186 yr comment_261261 Have they seriously put #currently unavailable on a social media post !? Absolutely disgusting knowing so many thousands of people complained at that during the busy weekend with the cold(ish) weather. They are essentially saying they found that situation funny!
