So their new Twister (crazy mouse) ride is open, was supposed to be open back in May, but I think it only just opened end of last month! So found this video off ride, and they're building wooden barriers around the ride, while the ride is open, surely that's safe right!? And I wonder if it's actually going to be themeing, or if they're doing what they probably had to do to the other big rides to block the sound of screaming for the locals.

TowersStreet have posted that the plans for a 'hotel extension / third hotel' have been posted online today. Based on the plans, it will - Be located behind ATH, at the other side of the garden - Include a new garden development - Feature its own reception, toilets, bar and new 204-seat buffet restaurant Great to see!

The Theme Park was only open 13 weeks and was owned by Nole Edmonds. Dont know much about it but would like to know more.

So after Funderworld setting up at Bristol every Easter half term for 2 weeks for the past years, to hear nothing this year, they've finally released that they will be at Birstol in the May Half term 23rd May - 1st June... can't wait

Who likes Duel at Alton Towers, or who prefered the old Haunted House attraction that started it all in 1992. This is a room where you can send in some nice comments, memories of the ride and anything else you remember of the ride. Hi all, It looks like London's Victoria park will be occupying a new event this winter, presumably in competition to winter wonderland! The event is called winterville and will be taking place from 2nd December to 1st January, taking place from 10am- late every day. The event will feature a fairground, winter market, music and clubs along with various shows and attractions to experience as well as traditional ice skating. The company has rumoured a set of traditional fairground rides as well as various rides from Europe debuting for the first time in the UK! I just realized area 3 have all the water rides except Bubbleworks! How amazing!?

Just something what I've noticed more and more recently on not just these forums but various forums about the UK's parks is the slating of Merlin and it got me thinking are they really that bad? I know people don't like things such as paid fastrack but these are things which have been around way before Merlin got involved with Thorpe / Alton / Cwoa, and what business sense would it be for them to come in and but that what must be fairly high revenue stream? I think Merlin have actually done a pretty good job with "The big 3" of our parks since they took over.. At Towers we've had: Mutiny Bay - Much better than what was previously there, well themed and good area IMO …

So with 2014 not too far away, it will be interesting to see what takes place next year and whether it will be a more successful one than the last few we've seen or whether it will be another disappointing year. What we will see at Chessington in 2014/ The hotel extension (which I hope they do well) Monkey And Bird Gardens 2.0 The return of Ramesis Revenge (which hopefully won't break down big time) What we may see in 2014/ Runaway Mine train returned (either looking nice and fresh or a complete eyesore) Dragon Falls looking more impressive than recent years Plans of an apparent future coaster unveiled (it's only a rumour I've heard currently so who knows) Mor…

I am going up to Alton Towers for a couple of days and was wondering if any of the coasters are rough and give you a banging headache e.g. Like Colossus at Thorpe. As if possible I will leave them to last so as not to spoil the day as only have two days there as live to far away. I have not been to Alton for many years so any advice great fully received..

I know this ride is hated lol but might as well start a topic to vent your hatred or love for the ride. Plus for the first time in a few year both arms were working together in sync for an hour until one broke down midday according to Towers Street.

The Trocadero isn't a place I ever went to, but hearing from all the attractions that used to be there such as Sega world, have made me interested in what this place was like. Here's a promotional video of the park, just before it opened in the mid nineties. Looks like it was quite an interesting place, shame it no longer exists.
