June 28, 20178 yr comment_250492 The constant contradictions in their responses really isn't helping.
June 28, 20178 yr comment_250493 The constant stream of people asking questions isn't helping either... When the park/football team/corporate entity have something to announce, they will announce it... Badgering them about something is just grating down on everyone's nerves...
June 28, 20178 yr comment_250497 People are asking because its part of the experience its something they enjoyed and they want to know whats happening to it. I do because without loggers leap it makes me want to go somewhere else as tidal wave just soaks you and isn't an experience and rumba and storm dirge are naff, I think it helps that people are showing interest so that they see the ride is wanted and hope it will persuade to put there money where there mouth is.
June 28, 20178 yr comment_250498 Of course people are going to ask what's happening to it, the communication regarding its closure has been shocking.
June 28, 20178 yr comment_250501 Also if people didnt ask, there would be no business case to keep the ride, when people ask it is probably tracked to see what the impact / return on investment would be
June 28, 20178 yr comment_250502 There are better ways to plead the case than constantly moaning to the Twitter team who ONLY KNOW SO MUCH! If you want to moan about the closure, email the park, fill out the screens, go to guest services... The Twitter team are probably just as sick of it as us lot that there's no news... It's not like they're deliberately leading us on a goose chase about it...
June 28, 20178 yr comment_250504 There's also a difference between several people asking about it once, and some people asking about it several times in successive days / weeks / months expecting a different response. Let's face it, they'd no use in digging into these replies to look for a hidden meaning. The only thing we can conclude is that there's no universal single response, which there should be. But not enough people will pick up on that I guess.

July 13, 20178 yr comment_250813 Today, they are back to saying it's in redevelopment. Is it me or does redevelopment sound like new ride rather than refurbishment? Also not denying the rumours, just saying they are fun. PJ. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

October 17, 20178 yr comment_253408 Is it safe to assume that Loggers won't be back for 2018? Or at least 2018 opening? I figure the amount of work that needs doing is not feasible over closed season with no visible changes on site so far this year...
October 17, 20178 yr comment_253410 I think it's pretty much certian that it's never returning. The work needed to be done costs more than Merlin's stupid formula allows. The only way the ride is ever reopening is a complete retheme so they can market it as brand new worlds first nonsense.

October 23, 20178 yr comment_253575 I think Loggers returning is very 50-50. I feel like management want to reopen the ride, as it used to be very popular and would be something for all ages, however I guess it depends how much work would be required. Having been dormant for several years now, not only wouldn't be a case of restoring the ride system to running order such as repairing/replacing trough, pumps and other structures, but likely updating safety to meet current day requirements. I wonder if things such as the water system and boat restrictions could be amended.
November 4, 20178 yr comment_253786 The park seem to want it to return but it's just whether or not they're willing to throw money at it is what will decide it's fate
December 2, 20177 yr comment_254305 I think that Thorpe will try to reopen Loggers in time for this coming season after all the main director wants to! Does anyone ageee with this or have any idea or have herd any rumours regarding this much loved classic?
December 2, 20177 yr comment_254315 Oddly enough, the one ride that is constantly shown in past news items is Loggers Leap, and though it is not the type of ride to keep me entertained, I know people who have constantly re-ridden it.

Next year will be the third season shut for development / redevelopment and the guy from Merlin Magic Making said it takes 4 years for something from start to finish to open (when asked about Slammers replacement) so it’s looking unlikely for it to open next year.
December 2, 20177 yr comment_254320 However Loggers is already there all they need to do is replace some parts and retheme or refresh it whereas any Slammer replacement would have to be built from scratch that's the difference that's my opinion anyway.
