July 5, 201312 yr comment_162568 I don't like it, it is very obvious and could have been done in a much subtler way (or just designed better in the first place!), but it is totally understandable when you see what it can do to shop sales. For once it is probably something I'd do myself if I was running the place!
July 5, 201312 yr comment_162575 Well that's a stupid idea, blocking off a large pathway so that people almost have to walk though the shipping container shop to get out or double back on themselves. Surely if they wanted people to head through an exit shop, they should've designed it better, perhaps likeThirteens where you walk straight in to the shop after the photo booth instead of removing a perfectly useful path.
July 12, 201312 yr comment_163054 Could be worse, could be Oblivion where after a long walk through the queue you have to walk through a shop and an arcade
July 13, 201312 yr comment_163124 I don't like it at all and also at The Swarm. If anything it makes me feel cramped in, I refuse to go into the shop and walk round, but nearly every guest who see's this thinks "Why the hell is this blocked off, it's a stupid idea"
July 13, 201312 yr comment_163151 Seeing as they are shipping containers they may as well move it to the exit so you HAVE to walk through it!
July 13, 201312 yr comment_163162 They're obviously temporary shops anyway, designed to be removed as the attraction becomes less popular. Maybe this suggests that they're doing a last-ditch attempt to increase SAW's shop sales before thinking sod it, and removing it.
July 13, 201312 yr comment_163179 What they need to do is put a refill station in there, as getting your drinks refilled is a nightmare as most places refuse to fill your drinks up.
July 28, 201312 yr comment_164233 Had a very enjoyable 1.5 rides on Saw during Summer Nights. The first ride was really smooth, it only hurt because of the heavy rain. Our second go was even better, we got the best part of the ride (the inside section) then had to be evaced through maintenance. We got stuck on the transfer track with a car in front of us stuck under the TV screens. Because of this, they couldn't get a ladder to us to get down without having to move the train. So, we were the first ever people to go backwards on Saw Then the maintenance building is amazing! 2 cars were sitting in there as only 6 were in use. They have loads of designs on the walls for the brakes, wheel assemblies etc. plus loads of wheels. For nerds like we were it was very exciting and made up for the fact we were stuck in the pouring rain for 30 minutes! Of course I took some photos (which the staff knew I was doing and didn't stop me). Jack enjoying the rain The car in front It really looks quite tall from this perspective Max enjoying his free poncho, towel and standing so close to a Saw car Some wheels that are actually round! The staff were also great at keeping everyone calm (especially the people in the car in front who were quite scared) and us entertained whilst we were waiting for the engineers to work out how to get us of. They were very efficient in trying to keep us dry and even made it so that we got a free hot drink each and asking us how we were when they saw us around the park. Yes it wasted nearly 50 minutes of our night but it was great fun!
July 28, 201312 yr comment_164274 Wow you two are so lucky! Wish that was me! Saw seem's to much less reliable this year though.
July 28, 201312 yr comment_164280 It really was something Different but I missed out on two Inversions
July 28, 201312 yr comment_164282 I must say, Saw was running remarkably smooth yesterday, I get the feeling I was just lucky though, lots of cars seemed to be getting some really bad jolts when I was watching the ride.
July 28, 201312 yr comment_164288 First drop and Dive Loop were jolty on my singular ride... Too much head-bashing </3
July 29, 201312 yr comment_164302 Another fact about forcing guests through the shop: One of these days, they're gonna be taking down the debris (that are used for the walls) and start bringing in staff with whips instead! Think that'll get em through the shop? No. That'll only make SAW unpopular...VERY unpopular!
July 29, 201312 yr comment_164306 Wow you two are so lucky! Wish that was me! Saw seem's to much less reliable this year though. As with most things this year!
July 29, 201312 yr comment_164318 A question to recent visitors of Thorpe. Has the mid-course brake run been activated when cars pass it, to slow it down a bit before entering the last inversion?
July 31, 201312 yr comment_164490 I noticed on my last couple of visits that the timer at the bottom of the lift hill (between the TV screens) has disappeared. When did that happen?! Such a simple effect, I know, but it really adds to the experience I found.
July 31, 201312 yr comment_164500 For those of us who do not browse the entity of the TPM forums for every last fanboy detail. http://forum.maniahub.com/topic/10245-adventure-world/#entry164489 An Australian park is building a Saw clone!
August 8, 201312 yr comment_165041 They always make replicas of roller coasters :/ isnt there a copy of Colossus in china? But back on topic you cant beat the saw theming (even if it has been done in house?) what's gonna happen when the contract runs out, which I believe is soon?
August 9, 201312 yr comment_165043 There are a Few Copies of Colossus, But Saw I believe is quite a good one to have cloned because it is not your Bog Standard Euro fighter, But I believe the one going to Australia might be a Tiny bit steeper or have 97 degrees to reduce the (Jolt) I believe it may have a Slight change like the Over banked turn replaced with an Inversion or the first Element of Karacho not the In door heartline the very small Top Hat. I would not mind Saw being Completely Cloned but I just want a Slight change for the Australian one so Saw will still be a Unique Layout.
August 9, 201312 yr comment_165044 Why make a clone when Thorpe should just give them the original for free, better them having that pile of ****e than us
August 9, 201312 yr comment_165052 Saw is the second best themed ride in the park...whats not to love!!!
August 9, 201312 yr comment_165053 Saw is the second best themed ride in the park...whats not to love!!! The pain, bad transitions, airtime hill that throws you into a corner, forceless yet painful loops, etc... Apart from that, great ride!
